where is everyone seeing the topper and variants?

Just saw all the photos for the set, variants, and combo topper - LOVE IT!!! I think we'll be investing in a case since we'll have to have them all! Maybe our luck will finally turn and we'll get some variants too... Hopefully they'll be available in May when the future in-laws go to WDW for vacation.

As in, since I saw the P8 pin set on Monday, should I have bought it for that special sneak peek?

it wasn't in the pin set, so no need to worry about having missed out there. someone had sent pics in that showed flat concept art, which labeled underneath each picture "variant" "combo topper"...maybe an inside source (or better eye) that we aren't all privy to.

Agreed. It seems as though some park and urban series have fell off from greatness. Not to say p6 and 7 arent great, but 7 was at least better than 6 IMO. Urban did the same, u4 was absolutely stunning (well most of it) then followed by u5 was a complete 180. Minus 3D mickey.

This series is so great. It really pushed me over the edge to start collecting Vinyls. Not a single one I dis-like. I really can't wait to see the Horizons and EPCOT Center map.

My thoughts exactly! You can tell Urban's kinda fell off because you can still find #5-8 in DLR D-Street.

I think I'm going to only collect park series from here on. Possibly certain figures from urban...such as super mouse for instance. But over all I'm more into park and certain other series. Star wars, animation, villains ect. These get me excited. But park 8...yes getting full case no doubt and using my 25% off coupon to help lower the cost of my doubles

Are you referring to the 25% coupon being given away at Disney Stores? If so, I don't believe they will be valid for the Park 8 release. Park 8 is being released at D-Street which isn't "affiliated" with the Disney Store. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm also only collecting Park series and other odds & ends (SW, A2). It's getting sooooo expensive trying to complete Park 1, 2, 4, 5...

I started collecting when Park 2 came out, so I have a few at retail price.

I believe you are correct. The only discounts you can get at World of Disney or D-Street are Annual Passholders discounts (10% or 20% depending on the pass) or special discounts they sometimes have on the bottom of the receipts if you buy something at a park. Disneystore or disneystore.com vouchers are not valid.

I think if you have a Disney Visa, you can get 10% off your purchase as well (At least I have been able to in the past.)

Not too shocking... Accidental early releases have happened with a lot lately (urban 8, Alice, holiday 3, cutesters at the beach, etc). I'm totally jealous though!

It does seem commonplace. And yes, I'm pretty jelly too. That RetroCot vinyl!

Oh and Wilderness Mickey is indeed musket-less. But we all have a LEGO musket piece, right? :P

for a second i thought the 10th anniversary ticket didn't have arms! its nice to see a good clear close up of the actual vinyl! bit pricey for a brand new chaser, its not even become rare yet! though i guess since it's mickey its pretty desirable but still! dontcha think?

Its always the way if someone happens to get a tray early - they have a limited window of opportunity to fleece people until the official release date - then the price comes down to the more correct market value.

Wow, I like the versatility of this set!! It seems (again) WDW based, but a lot of the vinyls have designs that are good for any kind of collection!! I'm especially in love with the 25th and the 10th anniversary ticket, but I'd be lying if the Kilimanjaro Safari Jeep and the Nautilus haven't caught my eye It's a very strong set, I love it almost as much as Park 7 Good work Disney, your park series have been very consistent lately

I love all of the park series with the exception of 6 which is just hideous minus the road signs.
