I've got two. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea being the first. My Pappi would read it to me when I was little so I've always had an attachment to that book. I read it once every couple of years.

Second is The Hobbit. I discovered that book in the library when I was 8 or 9 and it's really what got me into reading. I remember the cover having a giant bird and a wizard standing in a nest. I had no idea what to expect but I couldn't put it down. Haven't stopped reading since

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

The Five People You Meet in Heaven - Mitch Albom

I'm currently reading the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series and can't put them down but I'm not sure if they'd make my list of all time favourites.

The de Graville Trilogy: Blood Red Horse, Green Jasper, and Blaze of Silver. It's about a boy, William, and his special bond with his warhorse, Hosanna, in the Middle Ages under King Richard's rule. I had to read the first book as a reading assignment, (we're studying the Middle Ages) and I absolutely loved it. Went to the library, picked up the next two books, and finished them both in two weeks. If you read these, you won't regret it.

I had the exact same reaction! I love that book. But my favorite book would have to be Breakfast of Champions by Vonnegut. Although I just finished A Visit from the Goon Squad and that's another strong contender, I definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking for a new book. Some of the best contemporary fiction I've ever read.

It is really hard to pick a favorite, but my top few are:

    Battle Royale by Koushun Takami
Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll
Paradise Lost by John Milton (technically not a book, but an epic poem)
Who Censored Roger Rabbit? by Gary K. Wolf

All of them are truly fantastic
