My favorite all time book is On the Road by Jack Kerouac. The first time I read this I was ready to hitchhike across the country.

The Mysterious Stranger and The Diary of Adam and Eve both from Mark Twain are probably two of my favorites. The kind of books I could read over and over again.

    reading? books? what's that?

honestly, i might as well be illiterate, i haven't read a book for pleasure in so long. and i don't think i've read a full fiction book from cover to cover since my first year of college. i started reading suite francaise in my senior year of college (five years ago) but never finished.

i am personally a much bigger fan of non-fiction books. my favorite non-fiction titles are eats, shoots and leaves by lynne truss, the omnivore's dilemma by michael pollan, and join me by danny wallace. my favorite non fiction book i've read was their eyes were watching god by zora neale hurston

It was pretty equal for me. I saw the movie before reading the book but that didn't ruin it in any way for me.

I still have my tattered up copy from when I picked it up on a vacation in Cape Cod when I was a kid. Was always a favorite. Can't say how many times I've read that classic book...

Written on the body by Jeanette winterson is number one with a bullet.

Top three would be rounded out with the virgin suicides by eugenides and blankets by Craig Thompson.

Edit: anyone use goodreads.com? One of my favorite sites.
