Okay, fellow scribblers. National Novel Writing Month begins today. Who else is crazy enough to take the challenge this year?

Wow, so i didn't join this forum until nanowrimo was almost over but... ME!

it's not going so well though, I'm only at about 33,000 and have pretty much reached the end of my story... that and ive gotten to the overwhelmed stage and can't bring myself to keep going.

Have you hit 50k yet?

I ended last night at about 48,500. I expect to cross 50k today, and I've still probably got about 10K to go to finish the story.

Early finishes happen sometime -- don't sweat it. Even if you don't have any more story to tell, you've got a novella sitting in your hard drive! Is this your first year doing NaNoWriMo?

yeah its my first year. I lost my job in august and havent been able to find anything yet so i figure, what the hay, why not try something new to kill my time. I'm not even a fan of writing but it was sort of one of those, step out of your comfort zone type of things....

Amazingly, the first year I did it was also a year when I was out of work. I hear that from a lot of people.

I hit 50K today and I'm not done yet. Still have a way to go before I finish the story.

Ending the night at 51,588 words. Still got a bit left in the story. Keep nagging me to finish, peeps.

thats awesome that you hit 50k... i worked a little on mine last night but only made it to a little over 33k... sigh still more to do best of luck with yours
