Oh well, I guess I'll be happy with the badger house. Wand is Hawthorn with unicorn core, 13 1/2 inches.

I was wondering how I got my email telling me I could get in and before I ever logged in I had a new friend.

Well, the site crashed numerous times last night, the worst of all crashes (where I could not log in for hours) was right before I got sorted I wanted to find out what house I was in SO BADLY last night! But, I got in this morning and got sorted, and I'm in Slytherin (first choice! ) So, worth the wait, I suppose.

I know I havent been terribly active around here but I do have a Pottermore account. My name there is Dawnwitch115 so feel free to add me! I have a hard ash wand 12.5 inches long with a phoenix feather core. I was sorted into Gryffindor even though I really don't identify with the house. My friend let me take the sorting hat part for her to see if I would get a different outcome but sure enough my second batch of honest answers put me in Gryffindor. Guess I'm a Gryffindor at heart even though I assumed I would be a Hufflepuff

The site should be able to handle the traffic! They've known there was going to be a lot of people this before it started so why are they still having so many issues!

Well considering how many beta emails they sent out. I would think it should be able to support that many. But apparently not.

It's....sorta of working. It's in beta phase right now so you can't sign up now. It's not role playing. You go through the books and find out new information. Get a wand and get sorted. It's not time consuming. You can finish the first book (the only one out yet) in about 3 hours.

Seriously. It's not as if there even are hundreds of thousands of users. Only about 400,000 made it to sorting. Most of them only play for a few days and then forget about it so it can't be that horrible. I can't imagine they're still going through with the regular release in a couple weeks.

Here's the thing, I don't think they ever said it was opening to all on the 1st, just "October 2011"

Actually, I just looked it up and all it says is the beginning of October. And by now we've learned that they have a very loose interpretation of what "beginning" and "middle" of a month means.

I guess I was going to find my way into this forum one way or another. I'm a Ravenclaw, which thoroughly surprised me as I've never been good in school. I have a beautiful wand, ebony, unicorn hair, 11, unbending.

My husband made it for me today.


And he's currently working on one for himself (he has a fir wand and found real fir wood to use!) I'm pretty excited. I'll try to post a better picture later. I told him he needs to open up commissions because everyone's going to want their wand! Haha! I love it.

Seriously wow!! That is awesome!! I have a few of the wands from universal and that one is wow really really good!!! LOVE it!!
