NJ Tri State Area Member Meet Up for Mystery Box Trade Events @ Monmouth Mall DS

Hey Everyone,

We have had 5 successful meet up's so far, and look forward to having more throughout 2013.

The Mystery Box trading is available at The Monmouth Mall Disney Store!!!

The next Trade Meet Up is scheduled for May 19th at 1:00.

For those who are not familiar with the Mall or where it is here is the link to the Mall website:http://monmouthmallonline.com/
We can meet in the Food Court since it is almost right next to the Disney Store, and it is a very open area with Lots of Seating for us to trade with one another.

Anyone is welcome to attend, and I hope that we can get some folks from out of state to join us. All things Vinylmation are welcome to trade- 3", 9", Jr's, Park Starz, and Artist Cards. Bring whatever you are looking to trade and you might be able to make some great trades, plus have some fun mingling with fellow VN members.

When we decide on a time to meet we should make sure NOT to set a time say lunch or dinner times persay. The food court will be more full at these times.

Sounds like a great idea. I'm flexible so I'll go with what's most convenient for the majority. Don't know if shore traffic factors into planning so I'm just throwing it out there. Thanks for getting the ball rolling.

Oh man...I posted a suggestion in the orther thread...I didn't see this one.

Anyways, I took the day off on Friday hit traffic and nobody from here was there to trade with. I think Friday is bad because a lot of us have to work. I suggest Saturday or Sunday.

I didnt event think about shore traffic. Saturdays going south on the Parkway is rough until about 1:00. Sunday's going North is bad almost all day. There are other ways to go to avoid the Parkway, but they usually add some time to the trip

When we get closer to the date, I may be asking you for those alternate directions. The ones you posted last time were perfect!

I'm game for a meet up. Any of those days is fine. Afternoons would be better but I'm flexible.

I would do Saturday. I actually think it would be cool if we picked a place once a month in general to do a meet up/ trade. We could do it in other malls as well in the future.

That would be cool. I think that there are other places that might be more centralized for everyone. We'll have to see what kind of turnouts we get.

I'm thinking that if any of us meet other collectors @ our local stores we should invite them to the meet. We may be able to recruit some new members to VN and have more folks to trade with at the event. I know there are a few CM's from my other local store that I know might be interested if they aren't working.

I would love to attend this, but I know right now that getting down there is going to be such an epic pain in the butt. I'm all the way up in Bergen county and seeing as all of North Jersey and NY head in that general direction every weekend, I'll have to talk myself into going. Last time I tried tackling the Parkway on a weekend it was for a concert at PNC, which usually will take a little over an hour to get to. It took me 3 hours because of beach traffic. I was slamming my head against the steering wheel the whole time. I'm not the most patient of people, and have terrible road rage! I'll definitely attend post-Labor Day events that are down there though, so I"m up for future adventures!

I definitely DON'T blame you! I'm originally from Bergen County also. My father still lives up there and in the summer the only day I will visit him on a weekend is Saturday because I'm always heading in the opposite direction of traffic on that day during the right times!

I live in Essex co and made it just fine, yea the traffic sucks but the fun event ahead makes it all worth the headach

Even the smallest of tasks takes an hour down here at exit 81! Sitting in beach traffic daily gets really old by the last week of June

I'm bummed I didn't see this. I know a lot of CM's at the Monmouth Mall DS too. The CM's were saying how there were a bunch of people there earlier trading last Friday. Will there be another meet for the mystery box trading for August? I'll keep checking back to see.

I actually had this idea due to the amount of members I noticed were @ the last Mystery trade event. You didn't miss it, because we hadn't organized it then.

This is why I'm wondering if we should try to plan it for later in the day on Saturday so the Northerners can maybe to avoid the traffic. The thing is you would be OK coming south on Sunday, but going home would be the pain.

I called around yesterday looking for U7's to our local DS and while talking to the Monmouth Mall store I asked them to verify which weekend they were having the mystery trade box come out just to be sure. The CM verified it's the 3rd weekend so we're definitely looking at August 19-21. Figured I'd give an update since I talked to them .

No problem . If anyone has any suggestions on time that would definitely help. We want to try and make the drive easy enough(if possible on the parkway in the summer) for everyone. I think the time of day is actually what is the most difficult right now.

I'm thinking that we really should Shoot for around 3:00-4:00 to meet. That should be around when both directions on the Parkway should be clear. I'm more concerned with people being able to get to the meet without hassle than an issue arising with us trading in the mall. Which I still don't see being an issue due to the amount of room they have, but I am going to speak to customer service @ the Mall to be sure. I know the Philly Area group had some issues with their last meet.
