Recently a CM wouldn't open up a second Park Starz case for me even though there were only 3 left and every single VM for sale had 2-3 open cases, I thought that I could have probably talked to a manager and the CM would have been in the wrong.

WORST EVER was in March 2011 on Space Mntn at the exit, going up the people mover walkway someone was on it WITH AN ECV -- something that is NOT allowed -- and the person was having issues working it and they just STOPPED at the end of the moving walkway. We were all about to crash into it/pile up, so three of my friends had to JUMP up onto the escalator-like "railings" to jump around the EVC so as not to crash into it, I didn't jump up and so the ECV rammed into my ribs, another friend of mine was behind me saw what was happening and had to tell everyone behind us to walk backwards so we wouldn't all get piled up. 2 CMs, one who was dressed as a manager/coordinator were standing about 5 feet away chatting and didn't see the situation nor do anything about it. I saw them glance over, I don't know what they were thinking was going on. We handled the whole situation. I was so upset. I didn't complain ONLY BC at the time 2 of the friends I was with worked at Guest Relations in MK and I didn't want to embarrass them.

---------- Post added at 12:29 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:24 AM ----------

Also: my aunt was visiting me while I was working at Disney and she was staying at the Grand Floridian -- maid came by and she asked if she could come back at another time and the CM TOOK OUT HER CELL PHONE to look at the time. She was very taken aback and disappointed by this. (I think it's unprofessional and I know it isn't allowed.)

A few months later, my mom stayed at Wilderness Lodge and I thought the room seemed dusty and dirty. The day we checked in, there was a stale giant curled Cheeto (I forget the name of these specific Cheetos) underneath the bedskirt and a pill/pieces of paper garbage in the waste basket. I felt these should have been changed and thoroughly cleaned before we got in.

    Collecting since September 2010

the worst experience I've ever had at disney is one christmas we had dinner at a restaurant in the swan hotel and they put us in the corner and it took half an hour for the server to come they delivered my dad drink and his glass was completely shattered when it arrived it broke on the table and the server yelled at us and told us we spilt it. then there was a buffet and we went up to it and our friends son was pushed over while holding his food and then went back up and had his food throw over him and then we asked to speak to the manager and she had a go at us too. it was a all around bad experience.

I had a bad experince once. My family and I were eating at a restaurant, and my brother (probably 1 or 2 at the time) was crying trhoughout dinner. We did what we could to get him to stop, but you can't control babies, not to mention it wasn't a loud constant obnoxious crying, more like little episodes every once in a while. Again it wasn't anything too crazy, but what could we have done. Anyway, as we're getting up to leave the restaurant, the gentlemen who was eating near us made a comment to my stepmother telling her to learn how to shut the baby up. When she responded, my dad noticed what was going on and pretty much went back and forth with the guy. Needless to say that restaurant got loud. Disney security came and everything. They escorted the man and his family away while we stayed and watched the parade. We were almost kicked out.

It was a pretty bad time, cus some moron not only talked about my baby brother but almost had us kicked out. Some people are just grump no matter where they are.

My worst experience was when I was 7 years old and when we left for WDW on the airplane I had a terrible flu bug. When we arrived at WDW I was a mess. My ears were clogged for days, I was whiny, and a lot of times I was too sick with fever to go into the park with the rest of my family so it also ruined my Mom's vacation cuz she had to stay in the room with me. I remember spending most of the time watching the Disney Channel in the room that trip.

This made me laugh simply because one of my trips to Disney involved me sleeping on an inflatable mattress in the same room as both my dad and uncle who both snore in the loudest and most disgusting way

Oh that's horrible . Was it that he decided to not even give her a chance to say thank you? Or was she just being ignorant? My poor sister got stuck with my mother and stepfather on our trip in Sept 2010 when we stayed in a grand villa at AKL. She almost slept on the pull-out couch in the livingroom cause they were both peeling the wall paper off .

only bad experiance is that while my wife and i were eating in the 50s prime time cafe our waitress playing her part told the girl at the table next to us "take one more bit and you can have dessert" she did and with in seconds she was blowing chunks every where. What mad it bad was her mom grabbed a glass of water to catch it in and so this clear glass of puke sat on the table next to us. I happened to have ordered a peanut butter and jelly shake, well it looked just like what was in the cup so needless to say i didnt finish what else mad it bad was the waitress couldnt move it or clean it up, they had to call in a crew to get it cleaned up, and to top it off they were so full that they couldnt move us so we just left no compansation, but a great story to tell lol

I think the worst experience (it's not even that bad) I had was when they did a soft opening for Mission Space. The ride had opened to resort guests only that day and nobody had any clue what it was about. My wife and I kept asking the ride greeters what it was (there were all kinds of warnings about pregnant women and motion sickness so we were being cautious) and they just kept giving us some generic answer like "it's an amazing space simulator like you've never experienced before". And we kept saying "OK, but what is it?" and they all convinced us to get on. We waited about two hours in line until we reached the end and saw a video of the pods spinning and rotating in different directions at the same time and said "forget this!" (neither of us does well with spinning rides). We left the ride through the chicken exit and saw a lady in her mid-60's with a few EMS personnel giving her oxygen. She had clearly just had a very bad reaction to the ride. We were in disbelief that the attendants were refusing to tell us that we would get spun around in a centrifuge. We complained to one of the managers (or more or less told her that they need more informative warnings in front of the ride) and she gave us two Fast Pass tickets to Test Track to make up for the 2 hours of waiting. We weren't really upset, just a little disturbed that they took the whole unveiling of the "story theme" around the ride a little too far.

We've been going to Disney for a long time now and have also noticed the slow decline in "magic" that other posters have mentioned. We used to love going to the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and the Very Merry Xmas, but when they were new, they purposely kept the crowd numbers low so the lines for the rides were tolerable. The last two times we've been to these parties they have been mobbed to the point where you can't really enjoy them anymore. It was a bit disappointing.

Our last trip was during the Marathon weekend and we had a blast. Our only complaint was the large number of Brazilian tour groups in the park. Right as we went to enter the Fast Pass line for Soarin, a tour guide ran in front of us and corralled about 100 of her group in front of us. It was very rude and annoying and we ended up waiting much longer than normal because there were over 100 people in the FP line all at the same time.

I know where you are coming from, with this comment. We were in Orlando all of January 2010 and it is such a weird (but overall wonderful) month. First few days are huge crowds as the overflow from Xmas (which is a magical time indeed), then there is about a week where it is as quiet as anything and you can go to any park and ride anything with just about no wait at all - then you get the Brazilian tour groups!!!! We found them the worst at Universal Islands of Adventure - huge groups with one person leading with a flag - you do NOT want to get behind that group going around the park or going on a ride - they wander all over the place and clearly have no regard for individuals or families wanting to enjoy their day!
Left Disneyland on January 9th - don't know when we will get there again

LOL - So true! At first I thought they were all school kids since they kept chanting songs all the time (the cheerleader groups always do this), but then I noticed that these groups were all over the place with their flags. It has apparently drawn so much hate in the Florida theme parks that there's a Facebook group devoted to it:

    http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=30531805934

    http://www.cnn.com/2012/01/24/travel...ion/index.html

My sister was stuck in front of a group of them in line for a ride and they kept pushing, poking and trying to get around her. She turned around at one point and yelled at them. It's a different culture so I'm sure they have different rules and expectations in terms of personal space.

My worst experience was when our resort forgot to add our park tickets onto our keys to the world card. We got to Animal Kingdom on my very first day in WDW to be told by the turnstile person that we couldn't go in

Worst thing is they couldn't give us a UK 14 day ticket, so we got a 10 day ticket plus 4x 1 day tickets each. It wasn't very fun keeping track of which ones were used on which day by who.

Thanks to Gentleman ArRi (go team Duffy!)

I couldn't say this experience was absolutely horrible, but during our honeymoon trip in September I had made reservations at California Grill. It was our one "super special" dinner because it is quite expensive. For the two of us, our meal was over $150. Needless to say, I thought the food was horrible. I am a big fan of sushi and ordered two rolls, but they were not good at all. I was envious of the child sitting at the table next to us who had a plate of macaroni and cheese. I would not recommend this restaurant and prefer sushi at the Kona Cafe's sushi bar. It's much cheaper too.

CMs HATE the Brazilians with an all might passion. They are the worst because they're extremely loud, rude and obnoxious. January is the worst time to go because that's when they invade like pests. I would also know first hand because I was a CM for a little bit and these guys just didn't stop. Just for clarification.... I"m not saying this about the Brazilians who come as a family but the ones who come on the tour groups. I'm not being racist or whatever to Brazilians, I'm just mearly stating how the tour groups are hated. Just to clarify.

^ We were there in July and they were EVERYWHERE. The CMs had said it was not usually that buy with them in july, but for some reason they were swarming. Universal was the worst. 50 of them would get in the single rider line, whip their hair in your face, sing songs as loud as they could, and then ask to me grouped together when they got to the front. IT'S THE SINGLE RIDER LINE!!!! So rude and inconsiderate, it took us and hour and fifteen minutes to ride spiderman when it was supposed to be a 25 minute wait

We just went to Universal this past weekend and there were at least four different humongous groups that we saw. As soon as we saw the flags and backpacks, we bolted the other way. At one point, I heard a group singing loudly throughout the park. It was.. interesting.

I wouldn't say any of my WDW experiences were the worst but last stay I was sorta disappointed with:

The bus situation - You would think they want to get as many people to DTD as possible since each head basically is at least $20 in sales that day but they'll just spread that bus among 3 nearby resorts so that everyone has to pack inside like the sardines do in Spongebob Square Pants. This was a deterrent for me and I opted only to visit Downtown Disney twice during my stay. If I remember correctly maybe Animal Kingdom did this as well?

The room - We stayed at All Star Movies and I was pretty depressed the first day about the room. It was cramped and dated... kinda felt like I was a kid dropped off at his summer camp bunks. Not that it was too expensive but they do charge quite a lot for a Motel 6 type of room meanwhile a less expensive Downtown Disney area hotel I stayed at felt more comfortable and vacation-like. Once I got to the parks I got over this dilemma though.

It pains me to have any negative sentiment towards Disney since I have so many fantastic memories and their customer service and attention to detail trumps all but these were just two minor things that came to mind during my trip.

My worst experience at WDW was going to Universal I did have to chuckle though when a Universal employee remarked to a guest having a bad moment that "This ain't Disney".

Aside from that, my first time at D-Street Orlando was really strange in that the cast members that day were as freindly and helpful as we often find at K Mart or McDonald's -- not aweful but definately not the usual amazing magic that we are used to.

Our Disney experiences over the past 11 years are better characterized by the way cast members handle things even when there's a little wrinkle. On my most recent trip this March there was a glitch with Disney Dining's reservation system. We had booked ADR's for Saturday night in the Queen Victoria Room at Victoria and Albert's. A few days after making the ADR, the restaurant called to let us know that they had overbooked. They gave me the option of the main dining room on Saturday or the Queen Victoria room on Friday. They appologized profusely and said that our wine pairings would be the house. That's $180 off our bill because we moved our reservation from Saturday to Friday. I also got a personal phone call from the manager who gave me her direct cell phone number and asked me to let her know if there was anything else they could do for us. Well, about the only way to improve on free wine and a talble in the Queen Victoria Room would be to dine at the Chef's Table. Low and behold, when we walked up on Friday night the Maitre d' greated us by name and said that due to a last minute cancellation, the Chef's Table was available and would we like to dine there? People say that you should make lemonade when life hand's you lemons but this was getting to turn a lump of coal into a diamond. Oh yea... we love Disney.

That's hilarious and it is definitely true. I agree that every bad WDW experience is when people go to Universal because it's just that bad but not as bad as Sea World.... haha

Brazilians in the winter time are horrible, but the Argentenians are no picnic either, I find them to be more rude then the Brazillians.

Reading some of these Posts I feel bad even complaining about my experience! We stayed 6 days at the bay lake tower, and 5 at the Boardwalk Villas.

Bay Lake: When we got there we got our room keys and headed up to the room. We found our room, and the door was open(like 6-8'') so that was a bit weird. We get in and we love it, 2 bedroom villa is beautiful, great view Clean we love it. So we go to turn on the tv....nothing...go in the other rooms...nothing. So we call they come up and fix it. Then we go to open of the Couch sleeper and Chair Sleeper......No sheets. So we call they come up with sheets. The next morning we wake up early and start getting the kids some breakfast, toast doesn't work! so we call for them to bring us a new one! So now we are a kinda laughing it off. We are off to the park now, we have a good day there. When we come back to our room, no room key works but one! So we call tell them whats going on....They send someone up like 45mins later only to tell us they have to reprogram the door lock! So they fix it, by this time My step father is pissed( DVC member) and heads down to talk to the front desk about how "not magical" this stay is. Needless to say he got a 1200 dollar room credit! so after that the room didn't fall apart lol.

So then we transfer to boardwalk and everything there works and is totally fine untill the last day, they de activated card early! So when we went to the park we had to spend like 30 mins cooking in the sun at guest services trying to get in! Other than that It was as awesome as always!
Just started collecting, and dont' think i will stop any time soon

The only bad experience I had at Disney wasn't their fault, it was my family's! We were at Hollywood Studios and my Mum got ill and so we left halfway through the day, and we had only doen Sunset Boulevard. I don't blame my Mum for getting ill, but when I suggested we go back on one of the extra days we had to finish the park, no one would go back because they only thought it was because I wanted to try out for the American Idol show! As much as I would have loved to do that (I'm studying music at university) I was absolutely gutted because we barely did any of the park, and I really wanted to try out the Drew Carey ride (I can't remember exactly what it was) and I was really enjoying it too!

I might be going back next year, and my first stop is Hollywood Studios!!!

All of my Disney trips have been pretty good but I did have one less than "magical" experience...at Chef Mickey's. I was about 11 when I went there, my mom had reserved a dinner there (we stayed at the Polynesian though) and while the food was pretty good,we didn't get to enjoy it for long. It was a buffet and by the time we (both) got up to get seconds the waiter cleared away out plates and was prepared to give our table to someone else already! So we complained but they didn't really do anything for us and we just left. :c None of the characters had visited our table like they where supposed to either.
