honestly, after reading the mixed reviews, i had low expectations, but i really liked the film a lot. in some ways it didn't feel like a pixar film, but still it was good

Just got home from seeing Brave and it was absolutely incredible! MrDisneyFan was "meh" about the movie, but I adore Merida!

Me too!!!!! When we were in Disney in May we took my daughter over to meet her and she was so cool, a tough pretty girl, she taught bow and arrow lessons and it was such a fun meet and greet. I was in love then and after the movie I am a Merida fanatic!!!!!

I'm going to be in the minority here and say I didn't like it. I don't know why but I felt like nothing happened and it seemed boring. Except for the last half hour or so. Something about it just didn't hit me the way Toy Story 3 did. I went with my gf and she loved it and says she'll go back with her mom to see it

Saw it a second time today. There are a lot of easter eggs to spot. Also there is a little scene after the credits.

Yes every pixar movie is loaded with easter eggs. One thing that is reoccurring is the pizza planet truck has appeared in every movie since Toy Story 1. They also alude to the next pixar movie in each current movie. So last year during cars 2, you can see the tapestry from Brave pictured. This year in Brave you can see the newt from NEWT, which was a canned pixar movie (the plot was too similar to Rio so they scrapped it). There are tons of other things that they add also. Another thing is that the guy that did the voice of Hamm in Toy Story has done the voice of some character in every Pixar movie.

I did. Good job Pixar. I had went on a recent tour to Pixar studios which Jobs had a hand at designing, and they had the woven tapestry of the family on the wall, which was insanely huge! and outside they had the circle of stones...flimsy tho! haha fake grass and everything

Just saw Brave and missed the Pizza Planet truck and the scene after the credits. I have to say I'm really disappointed. It just doesn't have the emotional punch and/or belly laughs like Toy Story (1,2, & 3), Nemo, Monsters Inc, or Up.

I completely agree. I know that I already posted and I think I now know why I didn't like it in addition to my post in that it felt boring. Thanks to your post, I can further give my opinion on my disappointedness

You're not alone. My hubby and I both left the theater disappointed and he also said he was bored.

I have never seen an Easter egg in any Pixar films. I'll have to check that out. But I do love hearing Ratzenberger, and looking for the Pizza Planet truck. I also like looking for the ball and the lamp and the clue for the next movie. Love that pixar has lots of quirks to have you searching their movies.

Everything you just listed is an "Easter egg" - explanation at http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Easter_egg_(media)

I just saw this movie and it was incredible. I laughed so hard I almost peed. I cried. It was SO amazingly beautiful, visually and otherwise. I really connected with the story because I was very rebellious when I was younger, probably till I was about 17 or 18 and I really did not get along with my mom and in the past 4 years my mom and I have grown incredibly close. I was like weeping right before the end ha.

My wife and I saw this movie and we both didn't expect the story of the movie to be how it is. Granted, I only watched the first trailer of Brave so I thought it was gonna be a battle of some sort. We did like the movie but we both felt as if something was missing. My wife cried though.
"Bravo, Bravo. An extraordinary performance. And thank you for entertaining my victim."
