Philadelphia Area Trade/Meet Up

That's perfect for me since I live in Cherry Hill

There's the Cherry Hill and Deptford Malls (with Disney Stores, though Deptford's VM selection is terrible) and the Moorestown Mall as well all within like 10 miles of each other.

Do you know if Cherry Hill Mall would allow us to meet there? I know their food court isn't very large, but maybe they would be more lenient to a meet?

I think Cherry Hill may be getting a Mystery Box soon too. I think crazybones and I would be down with meeting there if we could work it out.

I heard that too (about the mystery box.) It's not too far of a drive so Jacob (my fiance- as I'm actually getting sick of typing ) and I would definitely be able to meet there.

That's how I feel! I said I would definitely invite everyone over, but Jacob & I have a small apartment right now. If a small group of people (like 5) want to come over then we'll set that up, but I definitely can't accomodate everyone.

After all the crap you endured on the phone with the mall and then the hassle we had at our meet up I'm hesitant to even try another mall.

Pretty much the same here. Having 5 people over would be pushing it for my girlfriend and I haha! But the plus side is tiny apartments are cheap!! If you guys end up meeting at Cherry Hill I might be able to make the drive. Plus checking out the Mystery Box would be pretty sweet!

I'm just floored that a mall would be so against a group of people coming to their retail location and hanging out (and spending money). Perhaps a diner or something? There are tons around here, could maybe use a backroom or something. They'd probably like it cause we'd all likely order food.

If you can think of a particularly friendly place that has a large enough room we can use (and they're ok with it) then I say why not

That meet up isn't being set up through Vinylnation so you won't find a thread dedicated to it. If you're interested you could PM asan and ask. I'd like to keep this thread for VN meet ups.

Posting to see if any members in Philly/Jersey/DE (or anyone who doesnt mind the drive to the Philly region ) would be interested in having a meet-up/VN picnic sometime in May. If enough people show interest, we can try to decide on a location and date.

Does anyone have a specific date in mind? I looked into renting a pavilion at Peace Valley Park and from what I can tell it would cost $120 ($65 if I can apply using my dad's address). I would have to send an application in with the money and the date written on the application so let me know what you all think

That sounds like a great place to hold the event. I definitely like the option of a pavilion especially if there's a chance for rain. The only downer is the cost...would everyone be willing to help out or does anyone know any parks with pavilions with a first come, first serve policy?
