Philadelphia Area Trade/Meet Up

Hi all

I have been seeing more and more people on this forum who frequent King of Prussia mall, Montgomery Mall, Oxford Valley mall, etc.

I'd really like to see a trade event come to fruition. I don't know where it would be, when it would be or any of the details but I thought we could work on getting something together.

So help me figure it out and maybe we can finally have a meet up/trade event in our area!

This isn't helpful at all, but, "what, what!" I used to live right down the street from Oxford Valley Mall! (I guess it can help keep the thread bumped toward the top. )

If all else fails, I think some forum folks have a group that meets at the Lehigh Valley Mall in Allentown. It's not close, but it's not too far, depending on where in the Philly suburbs you're located.

That's a hike but not too bad. My dad lives in Dublin (which is below Quakertown, which is below Allentown haha) so I'm used to being up that way. I'm currently in Huntingdon Valley so a lot of the locations I listed are about equal distance away.

I *think* there used to be a Disney Store at that mall in Willow Grove, but I could be wrong. Since you're doing the organizing, you might as well have it close to your location. It's a perk of leadership.

I'm pretty close to cherry hill, wouldnt mind meeting up, dont have crazy amounts of vinyls, but a nice start.

Just think of it this way. You will have plenty to trade with at the parks when you go if you can't get something together. I took almost 40 traders with me in June and replaced almost all of them with things that I did not have.

Wow!! That is some awesome trading. It's so fun to trade in the parks.

What has the trading box been like at Lehigh Valley? It's a quick ride for me (1 of 3 Disney Stores within a 30 minute drive for me), but i haven't been up there yet. Also, what kind of supply do they have for blind boxes?

Well since Ive only been going to the LVH mall one, I dont have any comparison.. but the staff are very helpful and are willing to save me as many boxes as I want anddddd they know me by name even though I've only called once. ha. The associate told me that they are actually in the middle of getting a shipment of urban 5 and Laugh a lots .. which means the buy one get one free will continue.. I will keep you posted when I find out about it. I took the last two of laugh a lots.

Maybe we should see which one of these stores would be more open about doing a meet up? Ms.disney... If Montgomery mall would be more open about us all coming maybe they would also try to accomodate us like a party? Ive seen stores do that for fan clubs... (hello kitty stores especially)

I'm in North Wilmington and would be totally up for a Philly area meetup! They recently closed the closest Disney Store to me so now I have to choose between Christiana & KOP. I also have a decent amount up for trade right now and will be making a trip to WDW the end of July, so who knows what I'll have at the end of that trip. Anyway, keep me posted if you get enough people to do it!

We only have a handful for KoP currently and I'd like to make it worth everyone's time and effort to get there before we commit to a date. I'm thinking about 8 people is a good number.

Count me in!!!! I'm near the Cherry Hill Mall but I'll travel to any locations (and count Ducktales801 in <-- he's my brother and will come with me). I have 3 boxes full of traders. Let me know when and where - I've been waiting to attend one of these for awhile.

By the way, the CM's at the Montgomery Mall are always really helpful and enthusiastic when it comes to vinyls! Also, if the Robots series is releasing on July 18, as it is rumored, it could be fun to schedule a meet for that evening somewhere (Cherry Hill, KoP, Montgomery).

Montgomery Mall CM's MOST DEFINITELY are very helpful! I know almost everyone by name there and they know me so they are always sure to talk vinylmation with me (and my boyfriend.) Overall, just a wonderful group of people. I originally wanted to do a meet up there, but it looks like KoP is winning out.

Cherry Hill does have 9" Not a bad store, but I don't make the trip all that often.
