Usually go with your gut. Buuttt if you get it that cheap, then it's not a big loss if its fake or anything. Plus people do start the bidding low a lot and they will seriously sky rocket over night. I watch a bunch of them just to see what's going for what and I've seen prices triple in an hour.

It was for "Buy Now" rather than bidding... That's why I'm not too sure...
Especially because it also had free shipping.

I prefer bidding anyway. Buy it now takes away the thrill. Hope you find your vinyl soon though

It is likely that the 'winning bidder' was a shill bidder (ie either the seller or a friend of the seller) and kept bidding just to get the price higher than you had already bid.

Yep, that's what basically happens. I hate when they do that.

Well.... I had problems with him the time I bought a few of his items. Here a summary of what happened. As you may have remarked, the S&H fees vary from a vinyl to another. I bought a lot of vinyls (like 10), expecting he would combine shipping as stated. But he didnt want to do so because for the items i won the starting bid was 0.99$ and he claimed there was no combined shipping for these. In fact, i won a few of them at a very low price (between 1.50 and 3.00$) so i guess he was losing money out of them. I sent him links to the eBay policy stating he can't make money out of shipping, that this is not my problem; he said it was not his problem. So we ended up cancelling everything.

So if he does not get the price he wants, he might try to screw you with shipping costs. So beware.

I bought a few from Fats last year. Everything was packed well and he combined shipping for me without argument. My only gripe was that it took him awhile to get the vinyls out. Close to a week after the sale (unless it's the middle of the night I usually watch and pay for items I win instantly so no excuse for such a delay IMHO) before he got them in the mail. Alls well that ends well though.

Not to be mean or anything but... if you look at the person who has all of this stuff listed for sale, they've listed the un-opened cases before many times, and they never sell!! So, someone is asking for too much money! OR, they're hoping some noob Vinylmation collector buys all of that stuff for a total rip off!

Well isn't that seller a fun guy. Everything clearly overpriced (~$1800 per Shag and ~$1900 per TT combo is insane!) and judging from the pics, has been in decent storage for awhile as if the seller was waiting for this moment. And... Even if I had the cash, why would I want 9+ of the same item anyway?

Its almost like some people just love to brag about how many of certain kinds of Vinylmation's they have.. I don't know. Crazy.

That is just ridiculous!! They would totally be better off selling them individually. They could start one off at an auction and then base the rest of the prices on that. But yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if its more of a bragging right for them than anything

Holy moley Their best bet would be to try to sell them individually. They can still make good money from them by selling that way...rather than expecting someone to plunk down the cost of a car

I really don't know what to make of someone getting that many of the Shag and DLR Test Track figures. Regardless, the only way I can imagine someone buying those is to resell them...and to do that they would have to sell at a good amount less than the going rate. So, I guess they listed them to show off? I'll try to remember to watch other auctions...maybe they have a ton of Gold Chasers.

I don't even understand the point of all of that. Not only is there no way anyone is going to buy that many at one time, but they aren't even remotely worth the amount he is asking. Really, $27,500? I think I'll buy a car instead.
