Disney's Contemporary Resort is an ultra-modern Disney Deluxe Resort, made up of a towering A-frame high-rise building—the iconic Contemporary Tower—and complemented by one garden wing annex. This lakeside Resort is the only hotel in Walt Disney World Resort to have the Walt Disney World Monorail System pass through the main lobby.

Boasting views of nearby Space Mountain attraction and Cinderella Castle, the Resort overlooks 4.5 miles of shoreline along Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon and is the closest hotel to Magic Kingdom theme park. You can pick up the monorail on the fourth floor to easily make your way to Magic Kingdom theme park and Epcot theme park.

The sprawling grounds include a marina, pools, restaurants, recreational facilities, a health club, tennis courts and convention facilities. We've never stayed at the Contemporary, but we did just do one night at Bay Lake Tower next door. We really enjoyed it and can't wait to stay again. With our kids being 1 and 3 it's hard for us to do sit down meals a lot of the times so we've never done anything other then Chef Mickey's for breakfast which I highly recommend if you love breakfast and the kids love Characters . JTchief is very big on breakfast so Chef Mickey's is perfect for him!

Oh that reminds me we ate at the Contempo Cafe also on this past trip. For counter service food it was great! I had a vegetable bake thing, JT had a lime chicken sandwich thing with homemade potato chips, and the kids had a regular kids pizza. It was really good!

Beginning this fall, guests looking for some rest and relaxation can indulge in new health and wellness suites, which will debut at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. These suites will feature bamboo flooring, 100-percent cotton linens, non-allergenic wrapped mattresses – as well as great views of Magic Kingdom Park and Bay Lake. Bathrooms on this floor also will be equipped with rainwater showers and tea tree oils.

Although I have never stayed at the Contemporary Resort, I have stayed at Bay Lake Towers and I absolutely love that resort . I love the modern theme of the rooms and of course the Magical Kingdom view . I have stayed here at least once a yr since it first opened and I can't wait to stay there again next time I go back.

I stayed at the Contemporary 11 years ago in the Garden Wing that was torn down to make room for the Bay Lake Tower. The room was very nice. There were five of us and we were all comfortable. I love renting the little boats and going around Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon. I didn't really like their pool but I think it looked much nicer the last time I was there.

We have done Chef Mickey's several times and always have fun. There are other places I prefer more for breakfast but this is a great option too.

And how cool is it that the monorail runs through the hotel? That was the whole reason we stayed there in the first place. I wanted to stay at the Monorail Hotel. Now my son always asks when he gets to stay at the Monorail Hotel.

I haven't tried the concierge level at Contemporary but I have at the Animal Kingdom and I loved it. The food was excellent, and most of all free alcohol

The food was awful, it felt like it was only snacks and the "dinner" wasn't any good. Plus the other people on the level were rude and would leave their kids there all day, who were also rude and would take up multiple tables. One for them, another for their garbage

We've stayed at the Contemporary once and have BLT as our DVC home resort. The location can't be beat since you can walk to the MK and take the monorail to Epcot. The California Grill is a great table service restaurant and Contempo Cafe is great for a quick meal. Waking up to see the MK and at night watching fireworks, the Electric Water Pagent and seeing the MK lighted up from your room is just amazing.

I'm looking forward to my first visit to BLT soon. That location seems ideal. I have had dinner a few times at the CA grill and have yet to be impressed with the service. It's seems like they are always running way behind. The food is pretty good and the view is second to none.
