Since these aren't Vinylmation customs, I figured the best place to dump these would be here. Over the next few days, I hope to post more of my custom portfolio...which just happens to be in ponies! Starting with...

These were all made at some point in 2004.

Havok

Havok is my favorite X-man and when I was looking to try a more complicated custom, I was inspired by this comicbook cover (this is a very old picture as the comic is still packed from moving).

Havok was the first pony I ever did that involved clay with this much detail.

He's still one of my favorites as he turned out just adorable.

Of course, the headpiece, armor and cuffs as made of Sculpy and he has a large fake jewel in the headpiece.

Polaris

Of course, if I made Havok, I had to make Polaris.

For her, I went with a more classic costume in the X-men blue and yellow.

I dyed this pony, hair and all, to get the dark green color. Boiling the hair gave that wild quailty that was perfect! Sculpy was used for the belt and cuffs.

Cyclops

And with Havok, there had to be his big brother Cyclops.

Again, I choose an iconic look. He had his bandlodier too but when I got it on him, it just looked chucky. So I left it off and I think it looks much better

Funny note, he and Havok are made from the same pony (Sunny Daze), who had been reissued in a different pose.

The visor and the tops of the gloves and boots are sculpy.

Wolverine

After I became known for doing X-Ponies, it was felt I needed to tackle the main mutant himself, Wolverine.

Sadly, in quite a few moves and trips to Pony Fairs, Wolverine's mask has been damaged and repaired quite a few times. Here is how it orginially looked from an old photo.

I again picked an iconic costume, because what can I say, they look good in blue and yellow.

Here are detailed views of his claws and boots. I'm quite proud of how I translated the claws on his hooves.

All of the details (mask, claws, boots and shoulder pads) are made from Sculpy.

Storm

The pictures of the following two ponies don't match because I don't own these anymore. BTW, the background is my dorm room window. That's Virginia Tech covered in snow.

Storm here was made for a custom swap. I got a Rogue in return. The girl who wanted her wanted something dragon related as well so since Strom can fly, I picked one of her older uniforms that would look good with dragon wings.

The crown and wings are created from Sculpy and she has a small crystal in each eye. The white hair I used glows in the dark for another added effect!

Sunfire

This is Sunfire, a Japanese X-man who I made for a friend.

His costume is based around the symbol of the rising sun.

Those lines were a pain to translate on the curves of the pony body, let me tell you.

The cuffs and three medallions are all sculpted from Sculpy for a 3D effect.

Nice job!!! Love the cyclops pony, the colors do look awesome! Also really like wolverine's claws on the hooves.
