I think these kids are cute. I think it makes perfect sense that Disney would develop niche sets that appeal to different groups. This one was clearly desigened for little girls and possibly teen girls. So what? I don't care about the Cars set that is coming out, but that doesn't mean Disney shouldn't have made it.

Also, I love that the kids are short and pudgy, just like all the other designs. They are stylized, not photo-realistic. And as I meantioned before, I find them cute.

I like this series, especially because it's ALL one kind of figure. No hoping for a "food" Cutester and getting a kid-in-a-costume, or vice versa I suppose.

Plus I think the new mold looks good on these figures, and Pirates. They would've looked strange with the big nose in the middle of their face!

I don't think I will care to get too many, but I know my daughters will!

These may have had a chance with me had they been on the old mold. This new mold really does nothing to help their look. They look like chunky kids with plates stuck on the tops of their heads

You know I think the reason why they used the new mold instead of the old mold is because the buttons would make it look like the girls had saggy breast

I was neutral on the new mold until I've seen some of these new mold pictures in more detail. Not too excited and in fact, little disappointed.

I in no way wish to disrespect the artists involved in this series... but this series looks REALLY creepy... in fact, I may cry if I accidentally mystery trade these at DLR the next time I'm there... they're hideous children... I hate children vinyls...

Yeah, the new mold didn't help them any. In fact comparing them to the cutesters too series, as much as I dislike blind boxing those children, they still look better than these ones in my opinion since they have the fact that they still look like mickey. These just look like lego duplex people without the legos- which is just sort of sad

I honestly don't see how mickey's nose would have stopped these designs from translating onto the old canvas. But now they just look like action figures with no disney connection. Oh well I guess if they don't impress me when I go to the disney store next time, it will just be one more vinyl series I won't be tempted to buy

Phew. Another set I won't be tempted to spend money on. These just don't do it for me at all. I do find them slightly creepy, although I do think they fit in with a niche crowd (someone above mentioned anime - these totally remind me of that). But, they aren't for me.

Exactly Q, that is all these are little girl toys. Kind of like Story said too. They have no Disney appeal to them at all. The magic is gone.

Ugly children aside, is this thread the new "New Mold/ Old Mold" thread? And I say that directed at all peoples. This new set is hideous, but not because of it's figure. Please collectors, tell me honestly that you would want exercise girl in your collection, even if it had a nose and buttons

They are simply grodies. And to blame it, or even say the mold plays a part is ludicrous. The POTC ones look awesome, and they're on the new mold. (at least this collector wants them) But these children are not, because the design is toddler-ish. I can see them only being bought for children under the age of 3

The reason that I do not like them IS because of the new mold NO other reason.

So you may think this set is hidiuos overall. I think it is hidiuos soley becuase of the new mold. It is relevant to discuss it here.

And yes - honestly I would want the excercise girl in my collection if it wasn't for the new mold. I would have bought a case so I would have had to exercise girls in my collection.

For me it is the mold NOT the design.

I'm not looking to change an opinion, I'm simply saying that for me, my displeasure with this series (as many others have pointed out) is that they look weird and creepy. To that reasoning, it's not the mold, and the change in mold didn't affect that aspect. Can we all just talk about the design again? Or has the mold really monopolized every single Vinyl discussion now?

No problems either way. The Mold is as important as the design as far as I am concerned, so it is a relevant discussion. I would buy them on the old mold. I will not buy them on the new mold. How is that not a huge issue?

But I can repsect the integrity of this thread. If no one else wants to talk about how these girls look on the new mold than neither will I

I said it before way back when...Disney has a way of ruining things they push so hard to get people to like...with this series I smell the beginning of the end! The designs on these are just lazy they do look like a rip off of anime styled people and many of them have the same face just wearing different clothing, where's the creativity? Sorry if I hurt the artists feelings but actually no I'm not sorry, YOU CAN DO BETTER (and should have done better). These cutesters are definitely NOT like me in the slightest!

The moment when members on here found out that this set was using the new mold, the conversation stopped being about the series and about the new mold and how they the make the characters look fat. Even though if these were on the old mold the girls would still look fat except the old mold would've given the girls [breasts].

I am not defending the new mold b/c frankly I could give a rats [behind] what the mold looks like. All I care about is the design, I could care less if the mold was in the shape of Mickey, Donald Goofy etc. if I like the design then I will buy it.

I think the designs are too girly and it will put off so many people. I showed this to my friend's five year old daughter and she hated it, saying "ew"

It is a very weird one sided set... While that would be great with an awesome idea, this one.. Not so much. Out of cutesters too, I dreaded pulling the children... So why would Disney make a set of them? Do you think to offset the pixar cars idea? the opinion is that cars are for boys so is this to give the girls a set?? They should have gone with a princess set if that's the case the design is mcdonalds style, not Disney.
