    Premium

Premium passholder here. My husband and I both got the premium passes this year on the payment plan, and are loving it!! I've been a passholder for over 20 years, and try to go at least once a week.

i have a premium pass, and try to go at least once a month, but usually end up going more than that! I think we should designate one place in DCA and Disneyland where people can trade vinylmations....like an unofficial trading spot. i usually stop by the pin trading areas to see if anyone has vinyls to trade, but so far no luck.

i have done the exact same thing. we should start a poll on where to have an unoffical trading spot. near the front of each park so people dont have to walk to far if they are just going to look for vinyls to trade. my suggestions would be For DCA: Outside the greeting shop under the arch leading to the off the page store. two shops are there thhat carry vinylmation. And for disneyland: i would have to say near the fire engine house on main street, also there are two shops close by with vinylmation for sale.

Are there any AP holders who signed up for the birthday promo? If any of you don't know, you get to choose 3 options: a gift certificate on merchandise worth the price of a park admission, a park admission, or fast passes with no time restrictions with a "Happy Birthday (name)!" printed on them.

You don't need to sign up for that. Just show up to the park and redeem the offer you want.

To add in some details to that, you can get any one of the following if you are an AP holder and your birthday isn't a blackout day for the pass you have:
    1. A "Fun Card" valued at $72, or a one day-one park admission ticket. It can be used only within the Disneyland resort for merchandise. It can not be used for food. There is no expiration date.
    2. You can redeem a park admission ticket which can be used once and expires 1 year from the day it was given to you. In other words, it expires on your next birthday.
    3. As far as the fast passes go, to my understanding that there is no time restrictions, however, they don't give you an unlimited number and also I think they only give them out if you arrive early enough at the parks.

My birthday hasn't happened yet, but when it does, I will go for the fun card. It doesn't expire so I can apply it towards an upgrade on my pass when it expires next august.

Also to note, this may be useful info for AP holders without parking passes:
As of October 4, 2009, Disneyland increased parking prices from $12 to $14. You can still get a "year parking pass," but that too was increased from $59 to $79. Just a heads up for everyone.

For the fast passes, I got them from City Hall and they give you at least 6. However, they have certain attractions printed on them. Those fast passes will help a lot when you have a small group because they can get them too.

Premium pass. I had too many visits planned with others that would have fallen on SoCal blackout days.

I live about 45- 1 hour away and make it to the park about once a month on average. Would love to meet up with other VM people to trade VM pins or figs.

(Bought a Deluxe at costco, went on my birthday and combined the $50 gift card from Costco and the $69 gift card on my birthday to upgrade to premium for a total cost of $1)

I believe they stopped selling the Deluxe passes with $50 gift cards in August when they raised ticket prices. They still have the two parks 4 days passes for $159.99 though.

The costco deal ran a few weeks after the price bump. I believe it went away after the summer nightastic promo. The current deal they have isn't an ap but can be upgraded, however, the upgraded ap expires a year after the first day you use the first ticket of the 4 day pass.

I have a premium pass, that way I don't worry about parking. Also, gotta love the discount. I'll probably renew it in January, when it expires. I go up probably 2-3 times a month. BTW, I also collect pins. I mostly go on Sunday. But I think it would be fun to meet up and meet others.

I am contemplating getting one even though I live in Canada.

I am down in Southern California usually 3 or 4 times a year and every time I buy a 5 day parkhopper its about 200 bucks, so basically 2 trips and the annual pass would be paid for.

I have to do some more looking into it, but its very tempting

i'd say go for it. the only issue is that the $200 and less APs are for SoCal residents. you need to pay more to get the ones for everyone else, and that might cost you more. check out disneyland.com/ap to find out more about the different APs they offer and the perks each one has (i.e. free parking and discounts at shops)
