    The Worst Disneyland Experiences Ever

This is a little place where you can share some of your worst moments at Disneyland. Here's mine:

So before I left the park, I had to go to the bathroom. I went into one of the stalls and thought, "What smells so bad in here?" At first, I thought it was just the toilet. But oh so wrong. Poop. ON THE FLOOR!!! It's a miracle I didn't step in it.

    So: What's yours?

I have never seen so many bathroom related comments on any other Disney forum. Congratulations VN

My worst experiences have occurred when I was about to get in line for Dumbo (there was no wait and hardly anyone there), some kids were running ahead to join their party. So I stood still and let them pass by me. A dude behind me with his kid on his shoulders called me names while telling me to hurry up. Not a fun experience. I wanted to knock that guy out.

Honestly? I can't say that I've ever had a horrible experience there. The worst thing at the little pet peeves like people who take flash photos on a dark ride. It's painful. I did get sick during my drive home once which was horrible.

The only even close to bad experience I've had was when I went about 6-7 years ago and I was on Space Mountain with my mom. About 3/4 through the ride the ride breaks down, so we're stuck in the giant tunnel room with every car hitting the next one full speed, definitely not fun. Then they turned the lights on to show that its just a giant looking empty room with a roller coaster in it haha. We got to ride it again as soon as it was fixed so that was cool. Definitely need to find a way to get to the park again with my whole family. Need to find some good package deals.

I have never had a bad experience, but I may have seen one (depending on who's perspective).

My friends and I were in Fantasyland, when we noticed that a they had loading then immediately unloading the Fantasyland Carousel. That is when we saw "someone" with his family escorted to the to the carousel. Everyone except a father and his child were still on the carousel. Being loaded on the carousel and being immediately forced off did not please the child and he started bawling. The father pleaded to allow his child to stay on, but they were forced off even though they were on the opposite side of the carousel.

Lets just say the women in my group did not appreciate what happened.

I've had bad experiences with the staff at Cafe Orleans being rude, but other than that nothing major.

Oh, and there was one time when we were looking at a CM's pin lanyard, saw a pin we really wanted but didn't have anything to trade so we told her we were going to get a pin and purchase it so we can trade it, and while selecting the pin, she traded the one we wanted from her lanyard to the next person in line. Keep in mind we were in the P.T. Flea pin store and she was the cashier, but we had just gotten out of line to get a pin to buy, it's not like we left the store. I was SO PISSED.

i really never had bad moment in Disneyland only once when i waited for food and the lady sold me food and told me i had to wait 25 minutes because the menu wasn't ready because all they offer was breakfast in that hour so the lady made me wait for it instead of refunding my money. but no biggie

Eh, when I visited DLR it really sucked. Monster Inc. ride was evacuated. Grizzly River Rapids was closed. Small World was closed. I waited for Matterhorn three times before it actually worked. Aladdin was not showing. Fantasmic was not showing. Fireworks were delayed. I had a fastpass for Indiana Jones and still waited over an hour. And heard five--FIVE-- fur characters talking in front of guests. Not to mention their Halloween Party was an absolute joke.

West coast failed on nearly every level during my trip. I understand that much of the park is seasonal but still. Riding Toad and seeing the Nightmare HM was fun but nothing will persuade me to return anytime soon. Just isn't worth it.

Well I've nearly gotten in two fights in Disneyland in years past beyond that just 2 weeks ago or so i was getting on the tram to leave the parks and i walked up to the tram and opened the door for my wife and her friend and this family shoves my wife out of the way and steals our seats on the tram. Was pretty rude and a bad time. I've been pretty lucky though that's my only bad experience in the 14 trips I've made this year to DLR.

Worst experience has to be getting stuck on It A Small World for over 30 minutes. Instead of turning the music off or down, somehow they turned it up even louder. Anyone who this has ever happened to must agree that this is cruel and unusual punishment. LOL. The best part was watching my friend almost flip out to the point he was going to jump out of the boat and run thru the scenes in there just to find a way out.

And speaking of bathrooms, what is with the unique smell of bathrooms in Disneyland? They sure use some strange cleaner or something to make it smell like that.

Well I dont know if I would consider this a bad experience, now its just a fond memory of yesteryear Disneyland.

Anyway, at the Village Haus(Pinocchio's resturant), there were a couple tables in the back[re-"imagined" today as the place where you meet Repunzel]. My family was there eating pizza or burgers or something and a mouse ran from under another table. The couple next to us and my mom and sister all jumped onto to chairs. The mouse ran from under our table, against the wall and in between a sliding door[between the resturant and the attached marionette(sp?) store]. The cast member from the store ran to see what happened and my mom told him that a mouse was in the door jamb. The cast member grabbed the door and started to slide it back and forth ramming it against the wall. He finish after a couple slams and said, "well, sorry Mickey". The End.

Didn't bother me then, doesn't bother me now.
Disneyland is like any other theme park, they have a pest problem. I guess that's why they have so many cats walking around(and sleeping during the day).

I've experienced a couple of rude employees at D-Street who just seemed like they wanted to be out partying rather than working, but my worst experiences have been with other guests. I can't believe people can be SO rude - especially at Disneyland where the whole point is to have a good time.

The worst was by far last Halloween. While heading into the Holiday Haunted Mansion, two Latino gangbanger-types were going on and on about how they were going to fire up a joint during the ride and about how they didn't give a &^%$ and blah blah blah. I don't know if they did or not, but I can't believe people like that exist. Really? Why go to Disneyland at all if that's your schtick? Mind boggling.

Disney is one of those places where people should just curb all their crap and have a good time and be cool to each other. I'm a "tough guy" who doesn't take crap, if I can do it, so can everyone else.

Yeah i know what you mean. There are those kind of people and there are the people with strollers and wheelchairs(and they aren't always handicapped). They feel like they own the road and mow down anyone in their path, especially after shows(Fantasmic or the fireworks). Thats a quick way to ruin my night, getting my feet rolled over a couple times by the same person.

The worst experience I had there was when I got sick. I was having a great time and after lunch I had a stomach ache I tried to ignore it but maybe a half an hour later I was worse... lets just say that because of how sick I was we had to leave.

i was waiting in line for Winnie the Pooh and the cast members must have talked about partying the night before and how they got wasted and puked all over but had to come in to work today. I was to tired at this point to get this person's name but was more sad to hear this kind of talk at the park from two of it's employees.

My worst experience ever at any theme park was at California Adventure back in fall 2009. We made our first trip to DCA for the Halloween Party, and I really wanted to ride Mickey's Fun Wheel. There was literally no one on it and I'd never seen it before, so when the line split into "swinging" and "non-swinging" I wasn't really sure of the difference. I thought "swinging" might just mean that the compartments gently rocked a little bit, so my wife and I got into swinging.

About 30 seconds into the ride, I was screaming my lungs out and on the brink of tears. Yes, this from a 27 year-old married man. I seriously, seriously thought I was gonna have a heart attack and die from the compartment swinging back and forth, backwards and forwards in the dark so high above the park.

When we reached the ground for the halfway point of the ride, I started screaming and begging the castmembers to let me off. The first castmember ignored me and the ride started to ascend again, but I screamed and pleaded with another castmember and he gave the order to bring it back. My wife was so embrassed she charged off the ride and wouldn't look at me or talk to me for like half an hour.

I thought i was going to freak out as well but i lumped it and rode it. I'm not reallly good about rides like that as well but i did enjoy it. The last time i went my brother in law and his kids went on it with me. He was so freaked out he curled up like a baby wanting to get off. There is a lot of anxiety with a ride like that and don't blame you but i still wish i brought my camera

that ride is definitely scary. just looking at the swinging gondolas makes my stomach turn a little

my worst experience at disneyland occurred when i got a case of gout attack on the first afternoon of my visit. i was there for three more days, but i could only go to the parks for an hour each day before i couldn't take the pain anymore and had to rest in my hotel the majority of the day

Worst experience was back in 2005, I went with a friends family and they just didn't know a thing about Disney, at all. They refused to stop to meet any characters (a favourite thing to do of mine) and wouldn't go on Splash Mountain because they didn't want to get wet. AND THEN they forced me into the Bugs Life show which I knew I was scared of (I had been on it before) I sat there screaming and bawling until a cast member was kind enough to help me find my way out.
