    R.I.P Guitar Hero

It's the end of Guitar Hero as Activision says it will stop making 'em. They stated on their earnings report tha they will put it to a rest due to the declining of sales. I love this game, lol. I guess you can only do so much and it gets really repetitious. Along with Guitar Hero, Activision will stop developement on their game True Crime: Hong Kong.

I wonder what this means for Rock Band... Will it's sales go up, or is this genre in general dying down? I know I don't play anywhere near as much as I used to.

I read somewhere that as a whole the genre is dying down.

I know Rock Band does online. I thought Guitar Hero did also, although they were never songs I was a huge fan of.

Its too bad about Guitar hero. Lot of good memories jammin with my brothers. Very competitive but a lot of fun. Had to put it all away about 2 years ago when we moved to a smaller place and the guitars just got in the way. Too bad.

I stopped buying Guitar hero after number 5 but I still played it. I thought they would keep on coming out with song packs for years and years hopefully rockband can pick up the slack since they will be the only major guitar game left.

To many guitar hero games has saturated the market. Activision was just milking every GH fan on every release. I guess the market realized that enough is enough... Good Bye GH.
Looking forward to something different in the future.
