Favorite Disneyland Spot!

What is your favorite spot in Disneyland? For some it's a certain area they sit and watch people, maybe their favorite restaurant, something where they feel the Disney essence the most.

Others feel that as soon as they go on a certain ride, that's when they truly feel they're at Disneyland.

For me, as soon as we get to Disneyland as a family, riding the train around Disneyland has become a tradition that can never be skipped. The trip starts as soon as we board that train.

What triggers the Disney feel for you?

For me, it's the "reveal" of Main Street after leaving the attraction poster tunnels. Nothing gives me butterflies in my stomach more than that transition from the real world to Disneyland!

I also have to mention Hungry Bear Restaurant, a family tradition. The food is ok, but the atmosphere is gorgeous!

It's tradition for my coworkers and I to eat at New Orleans Cafe and then ride Pirates of the Caribbean. We could also sit in the animation room inside California Adventure for hours just relaxing and singing along to the songs.

I kid. I kid. In all seriousness, my favorite spot in Disneyland, is probably the hub, near the partners statue. It's my favorite spot for grabbing a pretzel, or even better, a turkey leg, and people watching. I also love relaxing in Critter Country. I love all the shade of the trees and somehow, it's just really quaint back there.

Before proposing to my fiance it was when we hit the gates and heard the 'bing' of our annual passes being scanned.

After proposing at the Wishing Well next to the castle, even the mere glimpse of it sends chills up my spin, makes me grab my (now) wifes hand a little bit tighter and feel excited for another amazing day in the park. =)

Hmmm my favorite spot is pretty much everywhere! I love watching the monorail in the esplanade or Tomorrowland or the Grand Californian! I love sitting by the train station in New Orleans and watching and hearing the train, railroad announcement, Mark Twain, Haunted Mansion, and the faint screams on Splash Mountain and the very faint screeching of Big Thunder Mountain in the distance! Or relaxing by Thunder Mountain and watching those crazy mine trains fly by, or sitting by Small World and hearing the Matterhorn, Train, Monorail, Small World, and Tea Cups all interact and give off a perfect background atmosphere to enjoy! There are just way too many places to pick!

It's hard to pick a favorite disneyland spot. I'll try to pick one for now- walking down main street. Night and day, I walking down main street. I love to walk down the beginning of the day, grab my mocha and wait to see what our plan is for the day. And I love walking away at night and stopping through all the shops one last time before heading back to the hotel.

Of course, my favorite thing about disney is usually the shopping aspect of it, so I guess that's another big reason I like walking down main street- I love all the shops!

I have to be on the Jungle Cruise at sunset. It makes the entire day for me. It's really difficult when I go with other people who don't understand why I'm running across the park to go on ride that is not considered very popular.

I also love Alice in Wonderland/Tea cups at night and Tiki Room at anytime.

Another favorite place to go and just be, is on the side of Story book land, in front of the Matterhorn, and to your left is It's a small world. There's a little sitting area round the corner of Story book land. I love it, it's a perfect place to just feel the Disneyland vibe Monorail goes around the Matterhorn there too.

My husband scrimped and saved (both students back then) and he surprised me with dinner. He took me again last year for my birthday (with one daughter in tow). It's been 10 years...wow!

My favorite spot in Disneyland and quite possibly the whole world, is in Frontierland kind of near BTMR. It's a little pond with a cave straight across that used to have a mine cart in it. I could sit there for hours

To the left of the draw bridge in front of the castle. There are some built in bench seats. I get a sourdough Mickey head from DCA and then sit over there and people watch. Hours of entertainment

Speaking as a native Louisianian, Blue Bayou is the manufactured version of south Louisiana and the food. The wife and I ate there last March, and I was VERY disappointed. If you want good, authentic "cajun" food, come to Louisiana; I'll take you to a few places.

The atmosphere was very nice though.

For me it was main street. Walking down main street with the castle in front is just an amazing feeling. No matter how many times we went, I would always try to take my time walking (on the side so I did not slow others down) just so I could take in the disney feeling.

Me & my wife always read the sign on the bridge as you walk in that says "here you leave today and
enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy" and we hold hands and skip under the bridge.
that's pretty much when i forget about work, money, problems, and i just enter the park knowing whatever
adventures i come across, what kind of cool people i meet, what kind of cool pins might i trade for, which vinylmation
might i get, what food i eat, doesn't matter, i am going to have fun and enjoy myself. It's sometimes the unknown that
turns a regular day into an extraordinary one.

Love.......................... New Orleans Square and Love to get something to eat at the Blue Bayou at a table by the water watching the boats in Pirates go by.....also love to sit at the French market and take in all the wonderful buildings Haunted mansion... sounds of the train...admiring the Columbia and the Mark Twain.... and watch all the wonderful people go by....just love all the inspiration......!
