Star Wars Series #1 was released on January 13, 2011.

Star Wars Series #1 is expected to debut at the Star Wars Celebration 5 convention in Orlando and will arrive at the parks shortly after.

Will this series have a variant?
Yes, the chaser will have a variant

Who is the chaser?
Obi-wan and the variant is the obi-wan ghost

Will artist cards be included in this series?
No

Can these be ordered directly from Disney?
Yes, fans can still order these figures via mail order.
The series will be released only at the D-Street locations for two weeks. After January 28, it will be spread to additional locations (depending upon availability). As mentioned, it will be around for awhile so we have back-up orders already planned. It is at that time that orders can be placed via the Mail Order numbers listed below. You should be able to order whole trays.

What is the price of the Star Wars series?
Each vinyl will be $11.95

When is the release date:
Walt Disney World® Resort
Midnight release at the close of Thursday, January 13 (so technically early Friday morning) at D-Street at Downtown Disney® West Side

Disneyland® Resort will be releasing the Star Wars™ #1 collection on January 16 at D-Street.
Store will open at 8am.

Will this series have any 9" vinyls?
No

Will the Star War series be available for purchase at DS.com or at my local Disney Store?
Star wars vinyls will only be sold at the parks and will not be distributed abroad. The main reason is due to contractual agreements between Disney Parks and LucasFilm.

Is this series sold out?

No. This series is being "re-released" on June 4th, according to the vm official blog:

One thing I remember Donald saying is that they want to bring them out for the Star Wars time in WDW. I am thinking there was some sketches in the binder.

im hoping he or Darth Vader would be the Chaser. i love Darth Vader!!!!!! maybe a jabba the hut 9 inch figure with that muppet creature as a 3 inch combo set.

Last that I heard they are negotiating artwork with George Lucas but they do want to make a set. There has been no set timeframe as yet for when they would be released.

i think i just died and went to heaven. if they are going to release this set it wil be in both WDW and DLR. when this set comes out imgoing to spend two days in the hotel just to be one of the first to get my set!!!!!!! maybe they will make and ewok!!!!! that would be cute. i mifght just have to colect a lot of storm troopers to make myself a 501st army to protect my Darth Vader Chaser( by the way this is all speculation) im just to happy to hold it in.

Yea I agree these Star Wars might be more of a guy thing. I would like to see a Ewok. Darth Vader as the chaser a good idea. That is about it with me on that set.

As far as the Star Wars series goes, I would LOVE if they did it. But I would want to see some concept are and maybe some prototypes before making final judgement on if I like them or not.

If Disney can tap this one they will have a gold mine!! Star wars is one of the most collected items on the face of the Earth. They could do a Star Wars line and NEVER run out of Vinyls!! I am a huge Star Wars fan and I can tell you I would go after these big time............!!!!!!!!!

No sorry, all of the update tonight will be all the new stuff we saw in the book (no pictures) and all that was on display was the same as what they showed at D23 Expo. The Rex from Star Tours was a pencil sketch'ish artwork at that, still very early stages for it. And Luke, Leia, Han and Lando were not shown but listed.
