That's really odd you got a chick with a card and no chaser!

It's not odd. It's just another example of instead of being honest on a mistake, they decided to be deceptive or ignore the issue. Instead of acknowledging a card mistake and sending out vnylmations without cards, they decided to say they were getting rid of them. Why? So they didn't have people complaining or wanting to exchange for a chick with a card. They had already planned on getting rid of the cards so this was an easy decision. Personally, I just appreciate being honest about things. I know mistakes happen. Just say "Sorry, the cards were printed with the wrong artists name. So, these two figures will not have cards." I don't see what's hard about that.

I will miss the artist cards because they take up much less room than the vinyls. I didn't realize the Groundhog didn't come with a card, because I traded for it from the mystery box. Thanks for clearing things up about the cards.
Please keep all forward facing tentacles clear of the track.

This is almost like the Brett Favre scandal, minus the naughty pictures...It does make you wonder if they are really pulling all artist cards going forward, now that we know it was more or less a story to cover up the fact they had a double-error in this set. I never thought they would stop something two vinyls shy in a set of 12 as it made no sense, so glad Carol unraveled this mystery wrapped in a fabrication. By the way Carol, I will trade you the Santa Chaser for the card alone if you want it...is that vinyl I smell, or a conspiracy!?!

I think we need to hire Jesse Ventura to investigate this matter

Oh I've got naughty pictures if you need them.

    Oh, wait, nevermind.

On the issue with the card, I think that the guess is precisely what happened... they got back the set and noticed the wrong artist name, and decided to pull them... chalking it up to removing the cards overall eventually, and this one snuck by. The very fact that this case had extra fillers and this card makes me think it was one of the first boxes made, and perhaps not intended to be circulated.

The Easter Chick card's value, as you can see above, is clearly going to be high for those (like VintageOne) that are completists, so good on ya.

Back in January, I grabbed a box, and inside were TWO of the same vinylmation and artists card(the watermelon chaser!). I couldn't believe my luck, but haven't had it happen ever again

The craziest part is that the one with the card was placed in the box instead of the chaser so it's like someone knew what they were doing since it took the place of the chaser.

If only it was that planned out....my guess, Disney found the error quickly and ordered the factory to remove all the cards before sealing the boxes. A factory worker in China got lazy and instead of pulling the boxes with card from each case & replacing with the Chaser as he was told, claimed he did but didn't. So this one got through the system somehow.

Yeah, we're very excited about this discovery! We're going to bring it into D Street and perhaps someone there can shine some light on it for us. And as for trading, not yet. Or perhaps this might be my ticket to the Gold Chaser.

I'd be interested in hearing Disney's explanation, but the CMs at D-Street probably won't have any answers. I think you'll need to get a hold of Steven Miller or Donald Ferro. Of course, on the plus side, Steven tends to be at a lot of the releases, so there will be plenty of opportunities to grab hold of him.

Just reread that. Grab hold of him politely.

i heard why some had cards and others didn't. they wanted to find out how people would react to trading vinyls without cards. it is interesting, but i think they should have chosen a select few to not have cards and stuck with it. and making some chasers without cards i think made it difficult for some traders to trade the chaser since some did come with cards.
