Which one do you like better, the Animation series, or the Villian series? I have to go with the Villians!
How about you?![]()
I love Villians!
I love Animation!
I love them both equally!
Neither have much appeal to me.
I enjoy a few designs from each but as a whole could take them or leave them. Of course, I say that without having seen them in person so who knows once they are finally released.
Now I will lift the safety bar, and a vinylmation will follow you home! Hahahaha
There's just something about villains lol
Villains is an awesome looking series!

The villians Jafar chaser is a huge let down. It's design is similar to the Mad Hatter 9" which even though I bought it I still think it's weird looking.
I voted for the Villains because there were more designs in that set that I like compared to the Animation set. I don't like them all, for either set, but so far Villains is winning out. Jafar as a chaser is fine. I don't mind the design so much, I mean can you imagine if they tried to fit his face on Mickey? Talk about putting on some weight, he'd make Jessie from Toy Story look skinny![]()
IDK, that's a toss up. There are a few I want from both sets, but I'd also have to see them in person to judge. A lot of times the vinyls don't look that great in picture, but when I see them in front of them, they look even better. Anyways, for right now, my vote is going to be villains.

I voted both because I like some from both sets.
Looking forward to getting some of each!!!![]()

VILLAINS, VILLAINS AND VILLAINS!!!
... VinylFan ...
I really like them both, but if I had to choose, I would say Villains!

I love the whole Villains set and really like a handful from Animation but really dislike others so, Villains for me!

i cant say i pick sides... i like both series haha. is that fair? haha
For me, I hands down prefer Villains. The only one I really dislike is Cruella. The face looks strange, and the way her coat was placed on the figure makes her look like a stick-like, malnourished twig. She's skinny in the film, but not THAT skinny. Jafar was done well, other than the feet issue.Otherwise, they are all FABULOUS.
Shan-Yu (who I am downright giddy they chose for the set!) and Kaa are my faves, with Banzai, Ratcliffe, Stromboli, and Ursula right behind. This will be only the 2nd set of 3" vinyls I aim to complete. Only other one for me has been Park 3.
Animation is just not in the same league for me as the Villains, which surprised me. Of the characters that turned out really well, most of them I simply don't care about (Marie, Oliver, Frog Prince Naveen, Phil). Fairy Godmother and Mushu came out great, and I plan to get those on eBay. Quasimodo's hair looks too strange for my liking, and Pinocchio looks a little odd too. I'll probably get Pinocchio on eBay as well, though.
But something was really lost in translation with Alice, Peter Pan, and Aladdin (ESPECIALLY Aladdin). Alice has the chubby face affliction; her face actually looks like it would if she was looking through the keyhole and they zoomed in on her. Problem being, the body is normal. Pan's facial expression looks utterly bizarre (I am tempted on that one because of Tink, though).
As for Aladdin...To put it politely, if this was the only way they could translate that character to vinyl, this character should not have been made at this time. Especially with his street clothes, it looks very sumo-wrestlerish from the neck down, and exaggerated cartoonish from the neck up. Didn't come out well at all, sadly.
I really love the Villians set! I like both of them, but there are more designs from Villians that I like. Some of the Animation series look so strange & others are amazing! :-) But if I had to make a choice, its definitely Villians!!!
Please vote for my photo (picture 2 -- Mickey and Minnie) during June's Photo Contest on the Disney Planning Blog!!! Thanks!!!
"Let the Memories Begin"
I haven't heard anything about varients lately. Do we know if these two series will have any besides possibly the Animation chaser? I'm excited to blind box these two as I like several figures from each.

I love them both.. waiting to see them in person to decide which set is better.
