"CALIFORNIA" Entrance Letters to be removed - starting Jan 4

The new California Adventure entrance will be designed after the classic Pan Pacific Auditorium that ran from 1935 to 1972 in Los Angeles... to be completed 2012.

I don't know about you guys, but I'll miss seeing the letters around and taking pictures of them. Disney said they'll save them for possible future use.

(Nevermind, just saw the other thread about dismantling major features, everyone here is on top of every little Disney news lol).

They will be missed! So many good memories taking pictures under the letters, and failed attempts to climb "A" :p

Although I'll never get to see them, I do feel it's for the better. I cannot wait! until the New Buena Vista Street is completed. I have a feeling it'll be spectacular! Although I'm not too fond of the pan-pacific auditorium... It's already at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Florida. But I suppose I'll get over it when I see the amazing work behind it!

Went yesterday just to get in a few pictures of the letters before they got taken down Makes me wish I'd taken pictures of when the letters when they were in their World of Color colors.

I am so sad these are leaving, they were pretty cool once you figured out that the entrance to California Adventures was suppose to be like stepping into a life sized postcard of California!

Im gonna miss these letters. Im glad they are putting a lot of money into revamping the park though. Can't wait for Cars Land to open up.

I am sad they are taking down the letters. We went there for the first time this past summer, and I got a great picture of my kids in front of them. We even used it on our Christmas card. By by letters.

I am glad that I got my picture taken next to every letter while I was there - sad to see anything go that's such an icon of a park. On to bigger and better entrances
