I dropped my wife off at the salon for her hair,nail, eyebrow appointment.
Oh but wait, that's not the exciting part.... I had absolutely nothing to do for about 2 hours so I drove to the nearest mall. Now everyone is thinking, "big mistake" right? I mean, going to the mall on the weekend before Christmas? That's what I thought too when trying to find parking... but heck, I had time to kill so I was patient and finally found a parking spot. Maybe it was fate but as soon as I walked in, BAM! Disney store.
So I thought to myself.... eh, why not. Asked the first cast member if they had any vinylmation and she pointed me to the front counter. I waited in line and when it was my turn I asked for 2 boxes of Urban#5. The cast member let me choose them. I paid and walked out and sat on a bench and started to open the first box.
Box #1 - Popcorn Micky. Cool. I have a unopened tray so it's nice to get some to display and I didn't have this one yet.
Box #2 - ........wait for it.........wait for it...........
Needless to say I was very surprised. So surprised in fact I went back into the Disney store and shared it with the cast members.
I felt sorry for one of them because they were trying to get the chaser for months now according to her.... but that feeling went away
It was a very blessed Sunday.

wow! you know i usually have great luck when it comes to finding rare items ect but w/ vinylmations i dont have the touch just yet. lol

Yea usually I have crappy luck but I guess yesterday was my day. I felt like a kid in Willy Wonka's candy store that found the Golden ticket.

Well, every time I go to the mall (which has been pretty often now :/) I purchase 2 boxes of Urban#5. If I get another chaser, I will be putting it up for trade here since I have 1 opened and 1 sealed in my tray of 24. That way someone on this forum could snag it and I'll get a vinyl that I have been keeping an eye on too.
It will be a win-win, win situation =)
Bought my son the combo pack today before heading home, when he opened it he was so excited because it was the 3d chaser!! He said it's his favorite now!!!
Congrats. Blind boxed the chaser as well. I love my 3D Mickey.
Wow! Congrats...well, more like a jealous congrats! Maybe your lucky choice will be contagious and allow some of us to blind box our 3D chasers

I am headed to WDW on December 29th. I have promised myself that I am NOT going to drop tons of money to keep blind boxing, but I REALLY want this chaser, so wish me luck - on keeping my promise - and finding the chaser!

Well me and the wifey were talking tonight and she convinced me to start opening my trays... so if you don't get the 3D chaser, then maybe we can trade =)
Update: I DID IT!
Opened up Urban#5. The extra was the popcorn Mickey. So now I have a full set to myself, a set to trade INCLUDING the chaser since I got the chaser yesterday from a blind box. Once my profile here passes the requirements to post on the for sale/trade section I will be posting it up for trade.
It actually does feel good to open them all up.
I really want this chaser but I don't like very many designs in urban 5 so I don't want to go through a million urban 5 boxes looking for it! I hope that once all the excitement about this chaser dies down they will be more affordable on ebay.
exactly my thoughts...i really am not a fan the other urban 5 designs (or any of the urbans in general) and blindboxed 5 different ones. but guess what...no chaser
i finally broke down and bought one on the sale/trade thread. i figured it was better to spend the money on the one i want, rather than to keep blindboxing and getting ones i have no interest in, and spend tons more money in the long run (and still probably not get the chaser).
Yeah I'm not a fan of the designs either so I don't want to go buy a bunch and still come up with nothing. I hope to have better luck in trading out of the blind boxes, hahaha yeah right

The other day at Animal Kingdom I picked one up, put it back down and walked away. Went back to it picked up the same one and opened it and lucky me (and much to the dismay of my sister) it was the chaser! i was super pumped
This Christmas my mother in law got us two blind boxes from urban 5. The first was one of the gears (aww, not a fan) and the second was THE CHASER!!! I made quite an impression on my new family squealing and jumping up and down. "The Chaser!!! The Chaser!!!" We explained to her all about how rare it is and she felt quite proud of her box-picking skills.
We were at Epcot this weekend and finally got several blind boxes and our Urban 5 Combo pack. After touching several different conbo packs, my husband grabbed one in the center and said "you watch, this one will have the chaser". It was the first thing he opened and sure enough there was the chaser.

Boy some people have all the luck, congrats. I gave up blind boxing and bought a chaser on ebay for christmas for myself!!!
I ended up with the 3D chaser in my combo pack! I love it!
i love this one. i ended up buying it on ebay. i paid 50.00. i felt silly for paying that much for 3 in, but i just can't count on blind boxing it (although i have out of about 24 blind boxes pulled 3 tom morrows which ended up being good because i was able to trade the 2 extras and iasw chaser). i just don't want to buy a ton of the urban blind boxes. i'm trying to convince myself that i actually saved money...;) congrats to everyone that has blind boxed this one!!
