Geez. Orlando has become so ridiculously dangerous. If you want to live in this city it is almost required to have a weapon to defend yourself. The police in this town are equally awful and the ones I've encountered have this "That's just how it is." mentality to them. With as active as Disney is in the community it's about time they step up and create their own army.At this rate Orlando is going to be one of the most dangerous cities and it could really hurt tourism.
FYI, there's a gun show this weekend.![]()
I agree. Even though I know I'm safe, I still get kinda nervous when going out. Living here in FL isn't anything like living in OH! *homesick*
Anyway, just like in the four theme parks, I think DTD and the water parks should have bag checks. I remember when my sister used to work at Once Open A Toy a few years ago, she said that people came in with weapons and drugs quite a few times. Scary!
~PS~
P.S. Now that I think about it, maybe that particular McDonalds was robbed because everything is so darn expensive and alot more money is spent? ...and if that sounds stupid, maybe the criminal used to work there and he knew where everything is and stuff.![]()

A bag check would be a great idea, but that would be near impossible to pull off.
plus it seems like most things happen in the parking lot.
ex: as I was leaving tonight from the artist signing, the cops & K9 unit were blocking off a section of the parking lot (in the same aisle and section that my car was parking btw). Yea that was definitely comforting as I was walking to my car.![]()

i can imagine that, it would be funny if a lego employee like bust out witha lego sword and sheld. possibly riding a lego hores or dragon of some kind saving the day. im glad no one was hurt.
Bottom line is this has to stop happenning at Downtown Disney. We spend half our time there when we are at WDW. If they need bag checks than so be it. Bottom line is something needs to be done to protect Disney's image. I am sure Disney will do the right thing.
That's funny

Why is it funny? I'm guessing it's not actually funny to you, but rather you wanted to post something just to get your 15 posts.![]()

This is not the first time this has happen... sadly. When I worked at Virgin... a friend was kidnapped in employee parking of all places. Just be safe and be aware of your surroundings.
