Being someone who just got into collecting I look back on Park 1 and can only dream. The prices on those are crazy. It doesn't help that the few I want are probably the most wanted out of the collection. I can always dream to find one for a decent price.

My only vinyl I have from Park 1 is Kermit the Frog. He was definitely expensive for a 3" vinyl figure, luckily I bought him for $48 still sealed in the foil so I had the honor of opening him up from the foil, it was an amazing moment. He sit's front in center in my display of so far 87 Vinylmations. This was back when Kermit went for $100, which wasn't too long ago back in November I think. He is definitely my favorite next to Pongo. The seller had a whole bunch of 1-day park 1 auctions. I was so amazed I got him for the price I did.

The clue is patience. See how the offer is going and then attack. But don't bid more than what you think is a good price. I just need Magic Stars to complete my Park 1 holy grails

My only Park 1 is the Yeti. I have him in a display case from the container store along with 11 of my first vinyls (Mistly Park 2's and 3's. I'd love to someday get a Red Monorail, Tea Cups, and Kermit. Good luck on your hunt, it can be fun!
    Happy Collecting!

When I started, they were on Park 5. I looked at Park 1 and I really love some of them, but I swore to myself I wouldn't go spending the money on out-of-print stuff. I don't have that kind of disposable income. One of the items on the 'if I won the lottery' list would be going back to get all the Park series. At most, I'd probably allow myself one, for some very, very special occasion. I'd have a hard time deciding on just 1 from the first series though. My heart says Figment, as I always enjoyed that ride. But then I see Kermit and the balloon and go hmmmmmm.

And of course I've just gone on E-bay and I'm now watching a couple of figments that are currently under $100. Maybe for my birthday!

seems like Kermit is the most expensive Park 1 but I would be curious as to how much people have paid for various Park 1's

I have been tracking prices to complete a Park #1 set. It is so crazy to see those prices. I started collecting right when Park 2 came out and now I wish I would have bought more Park 1's

I keep telling myself that I don't need any Park 1s. But, my son LOVES the color red and thus wants the Red Monorail to add to our fleet of Blue and Orange. (I wouldn't let him keep the 5 Blue Monorails that we got from one online order of 8 blind boxes from DS.com)

Same with us--we were there in early 2009 and bought an entire case of Parks 1, still sealed with the original tape. Of course, we have another almost full set from when we would go into every store looking for a complete collection.

We weren't smart enough to buy a case of the first Park Series but we did for the first Urban

I'd love to get my hands on a few of the Park 1's, especially the creepy wallpaper. But I don't think I can take that leap yet. I have my eyes on the Red Monorail (since I think completing the monorail set is a good little first project) and I'd love to indulge one day on Magical Stars.

All that being said I've only just started so I'm not sure how crazy I should go just yet. Still not totally sure what are good prices or anything.

I'm in your boat too. I would like to have one just to say I do. I don't want to pay $100 for it though.

I'd love that Figment, too, but I believe I'd have to sell an organ to make that happen.

Also talked to a cast member at a local Disney Store a few weeks ago, and he has a few unopened cases of Park 1s. Lucky, lucky man.

The only Park 1 figure I own is Poisoned Apple. He's displayed with my favorite P2 figure in a separate place than the others

    We have 2.
DD got kermit in a blind box pull in early 2009 at AoD in downtown disney. I think she actually wanted creepy wallpaper, but that vinyl has always held a place of honor in her collection. She is also very happy to own the Muppets 1 chaser and 3D kermit.

The other - she pulled SMRT from a mystery box at the pin store at downtown disney this past April (yes, good pulls do and can happen). DD had no idea what it was (she thought it was a park 4). She got so excited at D street when she found out what she had!
