That's awesome news! I've always been sad when Hubby has talked about the old flying saucers that I never got to try them out, at least I will be able to ride it re-imagined. and I love cars in general not just the movie... comes from growing up with a dad who was/is a mechanic and has owned his own garage since I was a little tot (I only have to walk into a garage and get the new tyre smell to feel at home lol)

Neat shell for the bumper-cars. I'm glad to see so much creativity going into Cars Land... I only wish the movie itself was good.

It was too generic, shallow, toony, and reliant on star power. It could easily have been DreamWorks (and yes I mean that condescendingly). It just seemed cheap for Pixar, beneath their potential.

I agree with that. Cars was a great kids movie.

Though I did like the creativity Pixar put in the details. Like all the sponsors' names, the designs of the cars, and some of the voiceovers. I mean come on, you gotta love that Bob Costas was the announcer and even Mario Andretti had a quick cameo in the end.

Yes, I enjoyed the name puns and some of the voiceovers as well (Newman). I was an alright kids movie, as in it sold a lot of boy's merchandise, but it just seemed to be missing that extra layer that Pixar is rarely without. Watching the Toy Story series, Wall*E, UP, etc., the viewer enters certain levels as an adult that are beyond the scope of childrens' understanding and that is what sets those films apart from the typical mindless CG kids film. And it is a layer I felt was absent in Cars.

I've always wanted to ride something like the old flying saucers. Glad they'll be making a comeback in the form of Luigi's Tires. 2012 can't come fast enough!

I wonder how well Luigi's tires will do. I mean Cars land will be awesome with Radiator Racers and Mater's ride, but Luigi's tires has a couple things wrong with it off the bat. First of all, loading and unloading will be a pain(like a couple of the fantasyland rides), the slow unload/reload times will make the line LONG. That and there's no cover for the ride, so on rainy or super hot days, it will suck going on them.

Its an awesome concept, but hopefully they implement it better than the pictures show.

This would be fun in the rain especially if it's pouring really hard with all the rain coming on your face.
