Man Falls 25 Feet After Climbing Over Tower of Terror Railing!!!!!!

Authorities said a man suffered minor injuries after falling 25 feet on the Tower of Terror ride at Disney's California Adventure. Officials said alcohol might have been involved. The man, 20, was seen leaning over the railing as he waited in line for the ride, police said.

The fall was reported at about 10:30 p.m. The man was transported to UCI Medical Center and released.



Sgt. Rick Martinez told the LA Times the man placed a leg over the railing and joked about the "possibility of someone falling over." Martinez said he lost his balance and fell.

Disneyland Resort released a statement Thursday: "Last night a 20-year-old male guest fell in the queue line at the Tower of Terror attraction at Disney California Adventure. The guest was standing in line with friends on a second-floor platform when he climbed over a barrier to the area below and lost his balance and fell approximately 25 feet. The guest was transported by ambulance to the hospital. We understand his injuries were minor and he has been treated and released."

Wow! That is just crazy. My hubby and I were up there yesterday and went to glow fest for the first time. It is nice, but we even said someone is going to get hurt with all the alcohol they were drinking there.

I've heard they've had a lot of issues with underage drinking at Glow Fest. To be honest, I don't understand the appeal of Glow Fest, it seems out of character for Disney. I've been a couple times and it always seems so weird to see this rave-type party going on in the middle of California Adventure.

I'm always scared of falling when I'm on the second floor waiting in line for Tower of Terror. I don't like heights and those railings make me nervous!

Hahahahaha no I was thinking the same thing! Since our Tower of Terror has a two story loading station I always see people do that but no one ever falls!

Very true, while I like Glow Fest I can't wait for Labor day to come so Glow Fest can go! Just a question for you peanut266, if you don't like heights why do you go on Tower of Terror?

but the worst part of that is he could end up throwing up all over everyone on all the other dumbo's and the people watching, now that would be an ugly site. , what did end up on the plus side if you can see the "silver lining" in this he thank goodness didn't break his neck and also didn't fall on other people. Could you inmagine being in line and suddenly a person falling on top of you out of the sky???

We should raise our age to 20 at the moment it is 18 here in Aus.
He must have been very drunk to fall that far and not hurt himself too badly.

I'll have to check out Glow Fest next time I'm there. I hope Disney bans this guy from their parks....say no to idiots! Why do you think they have doors on the trams now...because people didn't know how to sit still and not lean over a moving vehicle....do do doo!
