At $12.95 times 24 boxes, that's $310.80 per case. Add, say, 6% tax, and that's about $330 for a case. Most recents sets of 12 don't sell for $165, much less sets of 11, so I don't see what makes buying the whole case logical.

If you got extremely lucky and drew a case with like two Leia Boushh variants, you'd make out really well, but in all other instances other than getting variants, it seems like you've lost money instantly.

I can't think of any sets released in the last year or so (besides Classics Collection for Oswald) where it wouldn't be cheaper to buy a set of 12 with chaser and an extra 12 commons (if you wanted them for some reason) for less than the $330 a case of 24 costs now. Am I crazy?

I don't really get why anyone would want to buy a whole case when it seems like you lose money doing so. Am I missing something? I love a lot of the seasons myself. I grew up on the 80's reruns and 90's currently on tv. But Landshark is so good, also, Consumer Probe, with Mainway toys. First of all, most of my past art is on http://dreampinwheel.deviantart.com/ because honestly I would really hate to clog anything up with bunches of pictures. So far, most of the stuff I've done has been Cast Member centric, gifts for friends of costumes for places they've worked, but I've branched out a bit recently, with some new concepts coming soon with some in progress stuff I'm real excited to share in the future.

Now, what probably really drew me was a desire to want to start some discussions with other artists. In sharing work with someone who wanted some customs done, I was told they were looking for "more advanced work." Now, I might not be a full time artist, but this is not my first foray into the arts and I'm having trouble not taking offense. I may have snarkily said something about knowing the difference between advanced and style, but I do really feel that's true. I prefer a more raw, one of a kind feel to my work currently to something that may be airbrushed and shiny (because, really, what do you even mean by more advanced). Granted, it took all of two minutes for that response to get sent back to me after being sent that very same link, but I feel like there's a difference between what was said to me and saying "I'm looking for a different type of work." I'm trying to take it with a grain of salt, but it does make me want to talk to some artists about what kinds of styles you all like to create and I hoped here would be a great place to hear from some!
