Florida Orange Bird / Mr. Toad AP Vinyls

So I've been hearing and reading all types of different things about these 2 vinyls. Some say that Florida will have the Florida Orange Bird and DLR will have Mr. Toad on the 29th. The Vinylmation blog said Mr. Toad will be at D-Street Locations <--- notice the s? So it seems like Mr. Toad will be at both locations and the bird may not come out until later?

What I think is that Mr. Toad will be at both D-Street locations on the 29th and the Florida Orange Bird will be the surprise vinyl at Trade City. Any thoughts on any of this?

Mr Toad is the first AP vinylmation. The Orange Bird is the second AP vinyl.

Think of the CM vinyls, one came out and then months later the second one came out.

Yes Mr. Toad will be released only at WDW on Aug. 29th at D-street and at the Trade City event. Mr. Toad will be released at DLR at a later date

According to the art of Disney parks events page mr toad will be released at DLR on the 29th also.

Mr Toad is the first AP vinylmation. The Orange Bird is the second AP vinyl.

Think of the CM vinyls, one came out and then months later the second one came out.

That does make since and as Mr. Miller said, it will be out at D-Street location(s). There's only 2 of those, one at DLR and one at WDW. It said it will be out at the parks at a later point in time.

LOL! It's always seems to be an enigma on vinyl release dates and locations. It seems like some are set in stone while others just happen. I figure it can't be that hard to let the public know about it.

I think at this point it's safe to say Mr. Toad will be at D-Street on both coasts and possibly no other places for now. I don't know where people got that it will be at Trade City. What will everyone at Trade City do if they can't get to D-Street because they're at Trade City? Will all the pin collectors go to D-Street and buy all the Mr. Toads taunting the vinyl collectors with them? :)

Yeah I saw that and hats weird b/c both the Disney passholder site and vinylmation.com both say it will be released at DLR at a later date :shrug: maybe whenever the VM staffdecides to update vinylmation.com we will learn more info.

I wonder will people get their AP discount on Mr Toad it just seems a lil funny because you have to have an AP to get it. Sorry off topic just boggled my mind a lil.

As has been pointed out before there are different levels of AP and different levels of discount. Some only get 10%, others get 20%. So even though everyone who is buying it should get a discount, since it's a different discount, there still has to be a retail price at which to start from.

Additionally, the current merchandise discounts are not permanent and are set to expire, I believe, in September, if they are not renewed again.

Please let's not start that argument again - both parks get things earlier than the other at times. It really doesn't benefit you to have something released at your home park "first".

As of now, yeah. They are supposed to expire the end of September. However, they were supposed to have expired back on like Jan 3rd, and they have just been constantly modifying and extending the discounts. So who knows?

According to Sledge, he heard at Trade City that the AP FL Orange Bird will be released in Dec or Jan.
