LOVED IT! I have honestly not seen a whole lot of coverage from Universal Hollywood so I really appreciate this trip report! I wish we had House of Horrors out here for sure!
:rep:

Haha! It really isn't that scary as I hoped for it to be when I went. In the past years, they tend to up the scare level later in the day when crowds are gone, but this time, it was not like that :(
(BTW: I do realize a lack of activity in these California forums. I want to do as much as I can to bring some life to them :) I hope nobody minds hehe)

I know I will never mind. I love that California has become a big part of this site.
Always a dream of mine to finally make it out there someday, but until then... this is my fill :)

Awesome pictures. I especially love the Bates Motel. I don't remember seeing that when I rode before. I remember that the tour was my favorite thing in the park and I can't wait to see what they do with King Kong.

My friend sweet talked a cast member and we scored some free drinks. Haha

I am wearing that big old button when I go to MK for my birthday. I want hook ups! :D
Ryan, how often do you get to Universal compared to Disney, just curious.

Great Pictures! I was going to go there last time I was in Cali, but I didnt make it there, I wish i would've. It seems a lot better than our Universal Studios here! Thanks.

AWESOME trip report! I love seeing anything from the Cali parks so... more trip reports!!
Your Jurassic Park looks better than ours... I wish we had the jeep dangling over like that.
What is House of Horrors? Is it like a permanent haunted house? If so, not fair!

I don't go as often as I should. I used to do Universal very often (maybe once to twice a month) because I had a season pass, but haven't had one for a few years now. I ended up buying one again yesterday since it was only $10 more, so I'm hoping to make a second visit for two reasons:
- to pay off the value of the pass
- just because I live 15-30 minutes away :)
Compared to Disney, which I'm visiting later today, I've been visiting nearly once, sometimes more, a month for the past 3 years, which is more frequent than my Universal Trips.

Can't say much about our Jurassic Park. It's a fun ride during the summer, but can't compare it to yours as I've never been to the florida version :(. What I can say is that the Animatronics they had were kinds funny since the skins were faded and/or folded. For two of the Dinos, I could see the hinges easily along with some hydraulic tubing :) It wasn't very pleasant for me as I keep my ride standards with Disney Quality :) haha.
The House of Horrors is a permanent haunted house/scare maze type of thing. If I recall, it came in 2005 or 2006, replacing a former Van Helsing Maze. Ever since I can remember, it started as a Chicken Run maze, then went to a "The Mummy: Returns" maze (which was VERY scary), and then onto Van Helsing (Which was all right) and now to today's House of Horrors, which can be scary at times if they fill the maze up with actors. Yesterday, I only spotted 4 which was quite upsetting.
(p.s.: More trip reports will come. I plan on delivering a Disneyland related one from my visit for today and tomorrow, so keep any eye out for that probably some time Wednesday)
