Disney’s Old Key West Resort Renovations

I'm pretty excited about this, this is the original DVC resort on WDW property and my favorite to stay at whenever i'm there :).

Thanks for the update. We are staying there for our next 2 trips. The rooms really need a face lift. They just feel a bit worn out.

We own at Old Key West and will be staying there in about 2 1/2 weeks. We stay there every trip (which is every year since 1993) Any idea when this will be starting?

i, too, am looking forward to the reno's although i did like the "florida ambiance" before.

I stayed there 2 weeks ago during trade city and it still has that feel to it, just more updated. It's very nice. I know the carpets really needed to be re-done so i'm glad they made some changes :).

We stayed at Turtle Pond last week and we got a renovated room. The floor in the living room/kitchen are now hardwood and the tv stand thing is smaller than the original

We stayed couple weeks ago too. We usually just stay in a studio because it's just the 2 of us and was delighted to be in new room. Very nicely done, it sure did need some updating. Just one little problem for me they didn't put curtains back up on the patio doors I'm really hoping they put them back, just don't like all the light in the morning when I want to sleep in.
