New 3" & 9" Glow in the dark Blanks

We had the opportunity to see the Main Street Elecrical Parade last night at Magic Kingdom® Park. How "electrosynthamagnetically" awesome it was to see it again! Some Guests may have heard about the new Create Your Own Vinylmation figure that is being released within the week at Disneyland® Resort (don't worry Florida and on-line fans, it is coming soon).

With the debut of the World of Color, it seemed fitting to have the new Glow-in-the-Dark Vinylmation® Figure released in California first. There will be a 9" and a 3" version of the figure as seen below.

Some of you may be wondering - does it really glow in the dark? Yes - it really does. Here is the 3" Figure glowing with the lights out. Sweet! Though we kind of feel we are seeing a ghost

Like we mentioned, these figures should be arriving within the week in California to the following locations:

Thats a good question cause the skin of the vinyl has got to be way diffrent then a normal do it yourself figure, wonder how well paint will adhere to it?

Maybe disney has decided making figures just for promotions and not for sale was silly and made them for both?

I wonder how Urban 1 Glow in the Dark feels about this. I'm guessing this one is very different, but I wonder if that vinyl just lost some value? (I, of course, still like my original U1 glow in the dark figure best, but this is interesting.)

They are releasing JRs series 2 in 2 weeks plus Toy Story to come (soon I hope). I don't think they care about shelf space :lol:

when searching for paints (via everyone's great suggestions and yep i went w/the apple barrel paints : )) for my eventual custom design, i discovered the glow in the dark paints. maybe that will serve as some inspiration for the glow in the dark create your own vinyls! : )

These were at D-Street at DL only. They were about 12 9" and maybe 30 3". They said this was all they had and did not know when they would get more.

There's different color glow in the dark stuff other than green. I've seen pink, blue, green and yellow. Google it. But the VM only comes in the greenish glow color.

no need to panic people! These ARE NOT limited editions. Relax, they will have plenty of them like the blanks. Once everyone gets their one of each, trust me, everyone will stop caring and you will see more than enough on the shelves that doesn't even get touched. I don't see why everyone is freaking out about it. Personally they are awesome and I love the 3', and I definitely will pick some up, but I don't know if the 9' is quite worth it yet even if does glow in the dark. Anyways, there is no need to rush to get these. They will stick around for awhile.

No, but it'll be soon, don't worry. They're just pushing them out to DLR and WDW first. You'll see them pop up online soon. They always lag online products anyways. Again they are opened edition blanks like the whites and all the other colored blanks. Just be patient.

It still only comes in the 1 color. They may have confused the other Create Your Own Blanks as being Glow in the Dark as they all come in the same packaging and you have to know which one is the Glow in the Dark as it is not labeled as a glow vinyl.

i almost felt the same when i heard that this was coming out, but Squiddy has a certain character to him already (and i have 2), it was one of the reasons i started collecting vinylmation. he has a texture of paint unlike the sheen of the new ones. Squiddy will always be one of my top vinyls, simple but awsome!!hehe

Technically "Squiddy" is in Urban 5. His design was to be in Urban 1 but was replaced by "Glow in the Dark Mickey" which is actually the one you are referring to.
