Hey guys, is anything currently known about the plush series? (don't really know what to refer to it as.) I am really looking forward to this one. I noticed that there isn't a big thread on it currently. What are the general feelings? Will you purchase any from this set? Is anyone excited about it when it finally comes out?

I personally am really looking forward to getting all of them. I think that they will look great displayed with the rest of the vinyls.

This is the first I've heard of such a series. Definately am interested to know more about it though!

Where did you hear about them?

I might purchase some of them if there is some that appeal to me. They looked really cool from the ones they had at the pin event.

They look cute! If you look at some of the photos from that preview night the balloon chaser was one of the stuffed animals!

They have been on display at several vinylmation release parties in the past. They are stuffed animals and look to be about 10 inches high or such. So far we've seen Balloon Chaser, Monorail, Teacups and I believe Electric Light Parade. I'm sure there are more as well.

Ah gotcha! Now that you mention it I vaguely remember seeing plushes in a couple pictures in the Upcoming series section; but I didnt know they were actually for sale I just thought they were just things to add to the display.

Check out the first two pictures. This is from the first time we saw them, but there have been a few times since that you'll find in pictures around the site.

I think I have heard they will be around 1 trillion million dollars - muwahahaha insert evil laugh sound here):-P:-P:-P:-P:-P:-P:-P:-P.

Ok, so maybe not quite that much. I don't think prices have even been said, let alone a Fall release timeframe. Maybe they will have them on display this Friday and we can all ask!:idea:

If I had a kid, I'd probably get them one. On the other hand, it might be the closest to a Park #1 chaser that I ever get, so who knows? Maybe if they're fairly cheap and released around payday, but only the balloon one...maybe.

I will have to pass on the plush series, especially since every plush I had at home has been tossed away (Except Figment and a few beanie Tiggers), besides that I would rather put my $$$ towards Vinylmation vinyl figurines.

When they first revealed these at the signing they let the VN Staff play around with them for a bit and asked us how much we'd be willing to pay for them. We said around $20-$25, which got a "Yeah, that's what we thought too." reaction. It's not official so take it for what it's worth, but I'd expect this to be the price they end up going with.

I would be willing to bet they go with $19.99. I say this because they tried $29.99 with the recent set of Figment plushes and people didn't buy them. Granted, vinylmation is the new craze and a bit more popular then Fig at the moment but a lot of people thought $29.99 was a bit too steep for a stuffed animal. I bought all the Figments as they were released but kind of got annoyed when I'd see them at the outlets half price after a few weeks.

A long, long time ago at the Urban 1 artist signing party the staff came up to me and asked me how much I would pay.

They said at the time that they would be limited edition of 5000, and because they would be released under the Art of Disney label to expect around $40, to which I laughed. They then asked me if that was too much.

I'm sure that the past few months has made them change the price point....

Yeah, after we left we said "Why the heck didn't we say $9.95?"

I had said earlier in the thread that I thought they would be $19.99 but now as I think about it I'm pretty sure they will be $29.99. Here's why. Not only were the Figment limited edition plushes that price but also the limited edition Steamboat Willie and Donald. It seems that $29.99 seems to be the going price for any plushes that are limited editions and I would expect to see this with the vinyls as well.

I'll throw my guess into the hat: $24.95

We saw them at Downtown Diney this past weekend. For the life of me I can't remember how much they were. When my wife gets home I'll see if she knows. I don't think they were over $20.00.

Wait, you're saying that they have been released already?
Has anyone else here seen them as well?

Probably referring to the Mickey Monsters, which aren't related to Vinylmation.

Are you sure about that because I thought these haven't been released yet?

I think we're all a bit confused - the VM plush of Monorail, Balloon Chaser, Small World, Yeti and ELP from Park 1 came and went with a fizz. I believe they were originally around $20 but I picked up a few for half-price at DTD, went back a couple weeks later and none were left. They are on ebay under Park 1 and don't seem to sell well. That is, unless you are talking about totally different plush.
