I Must Be CRAZYYYYYY!!!!

So I just finished signing up for the Disneyworld Goofy Challenge! :(

I do not know what I am going to do about this!

For those of you that don't know what it is, it consists of a 13.1 mile (1/2 marathon) run on Saturday and a 26.2 mile (full marathon) on Sunday!

I have not started completely training, but I have been running a bit (3-5 miles every other day). I know I need to pick up my pace because I want to try to finish under 2 hours on Saturday and under 5 on Sunday. I also want to try and beat JENN (shhhh don't tell her) LOL.

I was just wondering if anyone else will be doing this event as well, or either of the 2?

I just wanted to try and do this to say that I have done it and to have proof. It is also so I can buy the Vinyls and actually say that I have them for a reason instead of just buying it.

I run every day although nowhere near close to half marathon levels. It's all about pushing yourself and slowly building up a tolerance to certain distances. If you really wanted to do it and trained without giving up you could certainly do a half mararthon.

No worries Jenn, of course you are gonna be Garet's #1 Cheerleader!

Lemme put a stop to this guys. I think we're all getting too caught up. Are we all serious about really planning a trip to WDW to go cheer Garet? Realize that this trip is going to be VERY EXPENSIVE, especially because it is still during the holiday season. Plane tickets won't be cheap, hotel rates haven't gone down yet, and not to much are we all able to go during the same time? Take a week off and go on vacation all together? I'd love it of course and it'd be so awesome if it can really happen, but we all have different jobs, different lives, Raquel and Mike have 2 kids, I mean seriously think about this people! Is this really feasible to make it happen on such a large scale that all of us can go?

Well finished it yesterday! The times were nothing close to what I was going for, but we finished! The half we finished in just under 3 hours and the full in 6:56 witch is just under the allowed time. Our training only got us to 2 miles, and about a total of 10 miles for the whole last month...now I know why we are in pain today!

Also, I enjoyed Disneyland's half more. The cheering was better, transportation was better, prizes were better, and you actually run further within the park than the half.
