I believe someone posted something about these little guys on the old forum but they are cute so I will bring 'em back on here.

Straight from the Art of Disney website... the story goes...


Mickey Monsters are here to visit the Disney Theme Parks. They try to blend in by disguising themselves as Mickey and a host of other characters that they encounter on their visit. Keep any eye open for Mickey Monsters - They could be right in front of you!

The 1st Series of 6 Mickey Monster characters' names are Murff, Cheeky Bubbles, Ogg, Keeti, Ralf, and Eeku. They will each come with a special hang tag that contain stories about the character and therefore bring the character to life for our guests. Each character will retail for $12.95.

Mickey Monsters have been designed to bring smiles to kids of all ages.

Keeti

Keeti likes to dress up. She is always trying to fit in.
Sometimes it works - sometimes not.
If you play dress up with Keeti she will love you forever.

Her sash says, "I'm beautiful."

Cheeky Bubbles

Cheeky Bubbles loves to ride rides. The faster the better!
Most of all he likes to ride with his best friend Ralf,
because everything is always better with your best friend.

Ogg

Ogg likes to visit the parks. He loves to go on rides.
Ogg also likes to eat hot dogs and Ice cream - together!
But only after he goes on the rides - not before.

Murff

Murff likes hot chocolate.
If you give Murff hot chocolate he will be your best friend -at least until the mug is empty.
Then he will throw a fit. Don't forget to add marshmallows.
Murff loves them!

Ralf

Ralf doesn't talk very much. He leaves all the talking to his best friend, Cheeky Bubbles.
That gives Ralf more time to eat. If you like to eat, Ralf will be your best friend too!

Eeku

Eefu loves ninja movies. He also loves to have his picture taken.
When he sees a fun family having their photo taken, he uses his stealth to find his way into the picture

I thought these were cute, but I gotta draw the line somewhere.

I love the Mickey Monsters! I agree the vinyls are taking a lot of my money but I have to try and get all the monsters too! Are these limited like the vinyls or should these stick around for a while? :shrug:

I too need to save money for the Vinyls but thought these were really cute in the stores when I was there in July.

It actually occurred to me to pick one up for my dog! I've wanted her to have Disney toys, but all the plush I find that are the right size seem to have the beans in the button which I'm afraid my dog might be tempted to remove! :yikes:

I may pick up one when I'm back down - I like the light blue one.

So, I know this thread is a little old, but last week, when we were in Disney, I couldn't resist - I picked up a Cheeky Bubbles and Murff. They kind of became our "Drinking around the World Showcase" mascots. :clap:

Pin-trading is releasing a series of them coming soon - I thought they'd be out while we were there, but no dice! They're in the DTD Pin Trader's "preview" cases. I can't wait to get my hands on that set!

I bought one on Sunday 11/1/09 at PT Flea in California Adventure, I think I got Cheeky Bubbles. I'm going to get the rest later. They were so cute, and the pin cards have descriptions of each monster and how they like to disguise themselve in at the park.
