Wishlist section

Hello all, I know i am sort of new here, but i am full on addicted to these cute lil vinyls. I have a suggestion for the forum though. I wonder how hard it would be to create a wishlist section right under the trading/selling section. This way members can create threads with their wishlists. This wouldn't be a place for trading or selling, rather it would just be a place to create a thread that people can look at and pm you if they have any of the vinyls you are looking for. Then members could, if they wanted, attach a link to their wishlist in their signature blocks, so people could click on it and be directed to your list. Sorry if i rambled, but it is hard to explain. I think this would be a great way for members to find the vinyls they are looking for without looking. Thanks for listening to my madness.

I like this idea! I think it would be really cool and good way to keep track of what everyone needs to fill their vinyl collection :)

It would probably be a lot easier to put it in your signature. I've been taking alot of ideas from shoe forums, but on this shoe forum im on members have like a wish list (grails, hitlist, etc.) where they put [] before the vinyl and once the get em they put [x] so members know what they got already.

Isn't there a place for this in your "profile" - might be a great place for it, if not - the signature would be a great place too!

Could be a good idea, or maybe in peoples signature sectio they can have a list of what they are looking for so when people see their posts they can know what they are currently looking for.

Such as, below my sig would be something that says "check out ^_^'s wishlist!" and then when you click on it, it brings you to the thread in the trading/selling area. That way you can still only view possible trades and buys if you qualify for that section. ... Am I making sense? I hope so. :look: :lol:

yes i know what you mean. that way you can just tell the people to check your sig for trades. i think its alot easier if we put our B/S/T threads in our sigs as well. since we can't really bump our threads we can just have people click on them on our signatures that way some people do not have to look through pages to find your post.

i know, that should be in the suggestion thread as well. it would be a lot easier if we could just click on the button instead of having to type everything out.

Ok here's my only problem.....I don't want to have to click on every person's signature to see what they want, that'd be a lot of clicking and searching!

I think there should be a way to have alllll the vinyls in one location -> click on the vinyl you're looking for/trading/selling -> all the members that are looking for that vinyl as well show up on a list with their offers
..that way the 'clicking' is done according to the vinyl, not necessarily the member

Actually I have been working on a site I use for other vinyls updating their site with vinymations.. the past week I have been submitting pics and info for each one from all the currently released ones. Shouldld be done with it by this weekend...well all the way to park 4.

That's a great idea, that way you wouldn't have to look in everyone's profile to try and figure out what they have or might want.

Do it!! I've always thought that the best way to get around the 50 post rule would be to put your Haves/Wants in your signature..I'd like to know if it works or not
