I have the 9" E-Ticket and on the bottom it says limited edition of 150. I thought this was an edition of 600. Does anyone know which is correct?

Thanks.

It is an LE of 600. Just looked it up on the main Vinylnation site.

Wow, that's actually pretty cool to have one like that.

yeah, at first i wasn't too excited about this, and then i was like, i think i may get it, but now i read Disney The First 100 Years, and it got me into this, i still see a couple of them out at WDW, so i think i'll pick one up to add to my collection.

as for the error on LE150, if everyone doesn't have that, coming from someone who collects also, i'm sure others can think otherwise, i'd keep that as a production error which makes it a very unique version, and may be something to collectors eyes, like me...

Hmmm, that could definitely be a misprint. I've been thinking about getting one myself so once and if I do get one, I'll make sure to check what mines says.

Another tidbit -- remember the first 9-inchers did not have the edition size printed on the box ... and the E Ticket was amongst those first ones. I wonder if there is a subtle difference between the LE150 ones and the LE600 ones, other than the edition stamp.

I will take a look - I have both.

Great! A side-by-side comparison is a perfect idea! Maybe the attractions list on the back is slightly different? Maybe one is WDW & one is DLR? Now that would be cool!

Maybe a stupid question, but what is a "E-ticket" ?

Long story short, back in the day a guest would pay less money to get into the park and instead would by a booklet of tickets to use for the various attractions. In order to experience an attraction the guest would have to present a lettered ticket before getting on the ride. The tickets ranged from E - A. The better attractions were 'E-Tickets' while the less popular attractions were 'A-Tickets'. This "fair style" of ticketing stopped in 1982 and now we pay a more expensive price to get into the parks, but do not pay for the individual rides.

Back then even the Country Bears and Tiki Birds were considered an E-Ticket attraction, along with Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, it's a small world and a few others.

Thanks, I didn't know that you could do that.
Since opening-day in Paris, one always had to buy an entrance ticket which included all attractions and all shows inside the park.

They originally set it up that way so guests would not make a beeline for the "E-ticket" attractions and ignore the "A-D" ones ... the hope was that they would experience every ride in their coupon books then stop by the ticket booths and buy more "E" or "Magic Key" coupons. Remember those "Magic Keys" ??? They were little green tickets that could be used on any attraction.

Hey ... we need a "Magic Key" Vinylmation -- maybe it will be the mystery in the Coupon series!

When Epcot Center opened in 1982, they decided a one-price admission would simplify things, and the A-E tickets were retired.

Hello everyone, i was lucky enough this weekend to stumble upon one of these at Disney's Hollywood studios at the Animation gallery near the voyage of the little mermaid, it was the last one there and it was hiding all the way in the back of all the 9" vinylmations, i was so excited to get my hands on this! I know from now on if i am ever looking for anything i will always go back to check there.

Just kidding, knowing Disney it was probably advertised as 150 and then a switch to 600 to get more sold... :box:

Yeah I'm not surprised. It took them a while to sell off all of the E-Ticket vinyls. Occasionally you'll stumble upon 1 at one of the art of disney locations. The Safari Mickey piece too took a while to sell off.

Park series 1 did not have buttons. The buttons started with series 2 (If I'm not mistaken, I don't think Urban 1 had them either)

Urban 1 was the first series with buttons. It was when that slit in the bottom made sense. I had wondered why it was in all the Park 1 9" when only the Haunted Mansion set was the only one to use it. I would love for them to back track and make a Limited Edition set of the buttons for series 1 so they would all have their buttons.:thumbsup:

I saw several of these at WDW in February. I did not get it or understand it. My wife was the one that explained the whole ticket thing that Disney used years ago. Pretty plain figure and still around - it is a design vs. rarity question......??
