I must say I was disappointed by this one. I found the story very hard to follow. Sometimes I found myself thinking "Whoa, those are two different characters!?" or "Who the heck is that guy?" or "Wait, is this guy's death supposed to matter to me?"
Aside from that, I was definitely not a fan of the digital medium. My boyfriend is an ex-film major now TV Major and he usually notices film quality/cinematography issues. But I actually found my noticing issues with this film just looking bad. All of the night scenes were super grainy.
Thought Johnny Depp was great but definitely wouldn't pay money to see this one.

The movie wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I found it to be a bit underwhelming and didn't live up to the (little) hype it had. I found Christian Bale's acting and accent to be absolutely horrible. I couldn't stop laughing. He is the most overrated actor ever.

Ahaha every single time I see Christian bale all I can think of is a gruff bulldog like voice barking "RACHEL!"
My friends and I have made a hobby out of it...
Examples:
"No I can't eat pizza it reminds me of RACHEL!"
"What a pretty fire, you know what else was pretty, RACHEL was!"
"I can't arrest Johnny Depp because he has a love just like I had RACHEL!"
It's really just fun to scream "RACHEL" in Christian Bale's Batman bark

I haven't seen this movie yet (and from what you guys are saying I may wait until it comes out On Demand or via Netflicks), but I did feel the need to comment about Christian Bale's horrible "constipated" voice he uses in EVERYTHING he does. I'm glad I'm not the only one who notices this. That's one of my biggest complaints about Batman....and Terminator 4....really, we get it...you're "tough." The voice just doesn't work for me.
CB's nice to look at, but he really ruins it when he starts to speak.

I thought the movie was OKAY. I expected more. The ending was sad though... I teared up a little bit.
The first thing I whispered over to Sledge when we were watching was that I was NOT buying Christian Bale's accent in the movie. Seriously sounded like he was trying way too hard.
I did feel like it went a little slow at times, but it was no where near as dragging as Transformers 2. Don't even get me started ranting on that one...

Really, I didn't hate Transformers 2 as much as everyone else. But it was what it is. A Bay explosiontacular.
I thought that PU was pretty much a History Channel dramamentuary. Big on accuracy, light on emotion. Did you rally tear up at the end. I was thinking, "why should I care".
Here is the only POSSIBLE spoiler:
"Bye, bye Blackbird".

Yeah... but I cry during probably like every movie. I think there was even a point during Transformers 2 I teared up. lmao (I think it was when I thought it was over, but it wasn't.)
hehe
j/k... no there actually was a moment that made me sad. I can't remember what it was... maybe when Sam was like... hurt towards the end...without saying too much.

I was warned in advance to wait for the video that it was a slow paced movie, but the cinematragophy was nice. It sounds like Last Man Standing with Walken/Willis
