View Full Version : Disney Worker Struck By Guest On Tomorrowland Indy Speedway!

I just saw this article from Central Florida News3 13. The Cast Member was not seriously injured and there was no injury to the guest! Here is the article....

LAKE BUENA VISTA -- A Disney cast member is recovering after he was struck by a guest who was driving a go-cart.

It happened Sunday at the Tomorrowland Speedway attraction at Magic Kingdom.

Disney officials closed the attraction while Orange County deputies investigated. The attraction reopened around 3:30 p.m.

The cast member was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment. His injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.

The guest was not injured.

No one else was involved in the accident.

I'm guessing this was at the loading/unloading area? Very unfortunate, I hope the cast member recovers quickly!

I read somewhere they were hit in the leg but were going to make a full recovery!

Hahahahah HHGFG I love it! I really like Disneyland's Autopia's I don't see why they can't put something like that in Florida? :lol:

Oops. The CM's injuries weren't too serious or else I wouldn't have made a joking comment. :lol: Still though, I hope the CM has a speedy recovery.

The first thing i thought was "really the speedway? How serious can an injury really be? I can walk faster than those things"

Hahahahah, when I first saw it I was like how can someone get injured on that ride? :shrug: I mean you really have to not be paying attention to get hurt while working that ride! :(

I read the headline and said "how?" I guess the CM just broke his leg though.

Hope the CM does make a fast recovery. I'm sure the injury wasn't too bad. Cast members all wear steel toed boots on the attraction. Just goes to show you how bad drivers really are. Disney should really put something else there.

I mean Disneyland's autopia's have never had a cast member get struck by a guest! Whats going on? :lol:
