From the D23 website comes the announcement of the Premier Passport for both Disneyland and Walt Disney World!

03.10.10 - Disney Parks fans rejoice! On Wednesday at The Walt Disney Company's Annual Meeting, a new Annual Passport valid for admission to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World theme parks was introduced — Disney Premier Passport!

The Disney Premier Passport is a brand-new Annual Passport valid for admission to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World theme parks.
Guests who currently hold both a Disneyland and a Walt Disney World Annual Pass will be able to upgrade their passes to the new Disney Premier Passport, and the expiration date will be based on the latter of the two annual passes. Annual Passholders who currently have a pass to one Disney Resort may upgrade their current pass to a Premier Passport (the passholder will be credited the difference based on the retail value of their current Annual Pass).

The Disney Premier Passport will only be available for purchase (or upgrade) on site at a domestic Disney theme park. A new Premier Passport will retail for $700. The Premier Passport will be on sale March 11, 2010.

Benefits include:

* Unlimited admission for 365 to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom, Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure, including Park Hopper privileges
* Parking for all theme parks
* Unlimited admission to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach water parks at Walt Disney World
* Subscriptions to Passholder publications
* A one-year subscription to Disney Family Fun magazine (one per household)
* Unlimited admission (except activities/events specially priced) to DisneyQuest in Downtown Disney Orlando, ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex (valid only on event days; some events require an additional admission charge) and Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course (greens fee only; tee time reservations are required and subject to availability).

It's an interesting idea but I really wonder what the market is for these. How many people make it to both WDW and DLR often enough in one year to justify it? Seems like it would be an awfully small number to me. Wish I could say I was among them haha!

I am really considering it since I am looking to go to WDW in the summer and winter of this year!

If I flew to Cali enough then I'd get it, but airfare is so much that it really wouldn't make sense for me. I'll stick with my WDW AP.

i would think this is a better deal for Florida Passholders. In cali our passes are as low as 180, and if you visit WDW once you can get a multiday ticket for all parks for less than 300 for a total of 480-500 after taxes. $700 is a good price point thougf for the Premier. if i was an AP of Florida and palnned on visiting cali for a week i say this pass pays for it self

WOW! That is a lot of Disney to go to! I'm good with just a WDW AP.

It saves you a lot I am sure. I personally have never been to WDW. Our premium is $439. WDW is $489. I don't know how it works when you book a hotel and if you get admission included, but I think it saves you a fair amount if you were just to book the hotel for a week or two. I am gonna get one cuz my wife and I plan on going to do all parks. So admission for us will only cost $261 dollars for all WDW Theme parks. Correct if I'm wrong. I don't know too much when it comes to a hotel package. I don't think Disney believes in complimentary admission even if you spend $10,000 a year as a shareholder, Club 33 member, or DVC member. Even if they do, that's a lot more money than a 2 week stay at the WDW resort.

I didn't realize the DL premium ap was so much. Wow. Yeah that pretty much makes it a good deal for any CA people who normally keep a DL premium and plan to go to WDW for a week.

Since we only keep regular APs to WDW and even if we were to go to DLR it would only be for maybe three days total so for us it would definitely be better to get DL admission separately.

I think all they really did was add up the most expensive AP's on both coasts and made that the price!

Ugh! I wish I had an extra $700 laying around. One trip to either DLR or WDW would make it worth it!

It's actually surprising it took so long. And i'm sure if you're planning to have a vaca including both in one year it'd be well worth it.

i like that the pass includes the WDW Golf Course Green Fee, all you have to do is rent the cart. thats a big plus for me.

The idea of the pass is great, but they are offering no discount for DVC members, so it will end up being cheaper for buy separate passes to each park using the DVC discount.
