I read in the archives in the news & rumors section that in Park series 5 there will be a 9" Dreamfinder with a 3" Figment.

=O

Omg I will be all over that when it comes out! Anybody else excited?

Figment is the 9" right?
A 9" Figmet with a 3" Dreamfinder would make him more Godzilla like. Dreamfinder will be the 9". :)

Whew, that's sure a relief about the price not being raised. Thanks mshalloween for the info. I'm still not gonna get my hopes up about this set being released on ds.com. Just because it has a placeholder page doesn't mean it will for sure end up being sold online. The Halloween 9" vinyl had a placeholder page too and it never ended up being sold online. I think the Sulley/Boo 9"/3" set also had a placeholder page and wasn't sold online either. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

They actually have done them on and off as to some being attached to the holder in the front (Park 1 - Haunted Mansion "Watching You" set, Disneyland 55 sets) versus the side packaging. There really seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why some are and others are not put in the front.

We've seen a bunch of recent 9" priced below $50, which is a good sign.

It doesn't have much significance to you? But... EPCOT Center is your avatar? How is it not significant? They are iconic, original EPCOT Center characters. They seem pretty significant to Disney history and many Disney fans at least. That just confuses me haha.

I've never been on the original. Too young. And the current Figment, I think, is the worst ride in EPCOT. I just happen to love park history and original EPCOT Center stuff. The characters themselves just don;t have enough significance to me to justify paying $75. I mean, yeah, it's cool, but not $75 cool. (at least not to me)

I still go on the current version (air conditioning, and I like to play Count the Malfunctions ) but every time I get off it I'm think about how much they screwed up the Imagination pavilion. I know a bit about the original because of the EPCOT Center book that I happened to find for $1.25 at my library. Thus began my park history love affair.

I've been full-on excited for this one ever since I missed out on the Park 1 Figment, but the timing kind of stinks. Granted, given the high LE (and price), this one could stick around. Then again, it could sell out in a day. I've always found it hard to judge the demand for Figment merch.

In the old ride I believe he always had glasses on. They were round metal framed glasses that sort of dated him in the 70's...and the rest of him doesn't help. I'm not surprised they are keeping his glasses off to make him slightly more contemporary.

Hmmmm, as much as I like this 9"/3", I might actually pass on this because so much other vinyls are in the horizon and who knows, Disney might decide to release more vinyls next week again. So, if I can find a good trade, I'll jump into it. Other than that, it looks like I'll miss out on this one.

So, I opened my Dreamfinder and Figment because I like freeing my toys. And while I was holding Dreamfinder, I realized he felt bigger then Zurg, my other regular 9". I remembered the whole pose thing so I gathered all my free 9" and took a picture.

The CYO is from 2008, btw.

Dreamfinder looks like the old mold and taller then poor hunch back Zurg.

I'm not surprised that the This Park series has the old mold b/c has atleast two factories that makes the vinyl one factory (the good one) that does the Park series, and NBC that I know of and you have the 2nd factory (the crappy one) that makes the Urban series, Holiday series and Toy story series.

Disney needs to just stick to the factory that makes the Park series

So true!! I didn't even think about their being different factories/molds for different series.. but it's definitely obvious from the figures which series got which!

I can say "definitely" quite confidently. I've read that there are still plenty.

I know I'm a few days late posting this, but I just got home from WDW and didn't have access to a computer or smartphone while I was there. I was at D-Street in WDW for the release on Friday. I was actually the first person in line there. I was sooooooooo excited as it was my first release day in person. I'm so glad I was there in person to pick up my Dreamfinder/Figment set and MK 9"ers as I suspected they might not get put up on ds.com on the so-called release date as that is what has happened so many times before to me in the past. The set came out so great. It's definitely one of my favorites. I hope everyone else who wanted it is able to get it somehow.

I wonder when they will update the blog and make an official announcement about when these will show up online. They corrected the Mad Hatter date but what about the rest that were supposed to be up already

I think with such a high edition size when it is finally released on Disneyshopping it will not sell out as quickly as expected. Lately the newer higher edition size vinyls have been sitting on shelves instead of selling out quickly like the other park sets.

I agree. I think that the days of the quick sell out are over.

Mine arrived in the mail today, but are still sitting in the mail room here, so I have to wait until tomorrow to actually get to. see them. I was surprised at how quickly they got to Finland, but I'm glad that they made it here with due haste. This will be my first 9"/3" combo, and my first real 9". I've got one other 9" but it's a design-your-own one that I've got to get around to finishing some day

I want the tuxedo figment 3" but I don't want the dreamfinder 9" because I really don't know who they are and I want figment because I think he's cute. I guess I'll just have to buy the whole set.

Since I didn't really like the 9" Dreamfinder, my wonderful fiance was nice enough to buy the set and give me the 3" figment and he kept Dreamfinder :D They're seperated for now but one day they will meet again once we move in together and our vinylmation collections come together. He also bought the 10th anniversary Pin Trading set and he gave me the little 3" pin mickey and he kept the 9" mickey and the pin. I think he loves me too much... but thats ok with me :)

Thats unfortunate. You have to make sure you know when specific items are released and where they are going to be releases.

It is certainly a must have, Figment is one of the most popular vinyls out there so if there is another form of Figment that will be great. I have to get my hands on that.
