Does anyone know or heard what date the Muppets will be released @ DLR?

March. If it isn't on the Released/Upcoming Series area, we don't have a specific date yet.

Well, here it is March and still no muppets at Disneyland. What's going on, WDW got them a month ago!

They weren't there yesterday! A Cast Member told me that they should have them out by Spring Break along with the Cutesters!

I think it's pretty lame, but I'm just going to wait until they are in the park to buy them instead of online.

I believe a lot of the Park Online merchandise comes from the WDW warehouses, so that could be why they made it online first before hitting DLR.

Maybe, but none of the other series appeared online before hitting both parks, did it?

I have a feeling that maybe the muppets aren't going to be released at DLR. I asked a person who works at D Street last week when we were going to get the Muppets? She said that we might not get them at all!!! She also said that because it is a series created by one particular artist, they make a very limited amount of them (like cutesters), not as many as other series. I told her that sucks! She said "Well DLR got vinyls that WDW didn't get."
Hmmm......Maybe that's why the Urban 3 9" were only released at DLR and not WDW..... maybe to make us feel better or something for not giving us muppets!
Has anyone else heard this info? Hopefully the lady I spoke to was misinformed!

Take anything a Cast Member tells you with a grain of salt. And the same for managers too. WDW got Muppets early because of the Press Event at Epcot on 2/8 that was for "Give A Day, Get A Disney Day" where the Muppets are the spokes characters for it. DLR happened to get the Urban 3 9" in early as well so in trade, they put them out so each coast got something. Now we are both eagerly waiting for what we did not get. LOL!
And in terms of vinyls made, they make an estimate of how popular they will be and order that amount. Since Vinylmation is still relatively new, they are still "testing the waters" so to speak with how many to make of each series.

I was at D Street this afternoon and I asked about Muppets. They told me sometime in March, they don't have a specific date. And then this is funny, I asked about Space Mountain, and they told me that they were released in January. Does anyone else remember that?

It was supposed to be released in January but got delayed due to some issue and was tentatively reschedule for a March release. Hopefully we will see it soon as a lot of people are waiting for it!!

I asked a CM anyways! lol The kind woman went to ask and she said they are expecting them end of March, but exactly when she did not know. I also asked a very nice CM at D-street and he said that in their book it says muppets are coming in 2011! but he knows that WDW has them, so he said he was hoping we'd get them soon :(

Maybe he was looking at the release for Muppets Series #2, that's expected to come out sometime in 2011. : 0)

:mad:I don't want to start a East Coast vs. West Coast thing but since the Urban 9" were first released in CA. while the Muppets were released at WDW, now that the "9 vinyls are going to be released at WDW this week why isn't the Muppet series being released here in CA?. I know that I can get the muppets on line but I then have to pay for shipping and Ilike to buy stuff in person. The people who are running the vinylmation area of Disney still need to get their act together.

LOL. I know, it's really frustrating as to why some items can be released at one coast and not the other at the same time!! It would make a lot of people happy all at the SAME time!
With Muppets we got them at WDW on a Monday, and then that Friday DLR got the Urban 3 9"s, so maybe next week DLR will get the Muppets??

We have already discussed this. When I mentioned some CA people were complaining I was told they were just joking. I fail to see the humor in those red faced icons. I also wonder how the response to one person complaining about

Uhhh. Errr. Hmm?
No, I can't figure out what you are complaining about this time.
To IloveDisneyVinylmation's point, I don't think this goes into the East Coast West Coast argument, those are more caused by Disney saying they will release an exclusive, and then allowing both sides access to it. This Muppet fiasco is more like, they said we would receive an open edition release and have just completely forgotten we exist. I agree 100% that if I am a loyal customer of the theme parks I should not have to go online to try and track these down (although I believe they are sold out online).
Whatever though, my money is more important then the stress of trying to get these. Skip.

More Muppet vinyls are on the way. The initial order was a rush so there would be some to tie into the "Give A Day, Get A Disney Day" Press Event at Epcot, and also why they were only in a few locations. The next order hasn't arrived at WDW yet, and the initial order for Disneyland has not arrived yet. I know everyone is anxious, but until they buy a faster motor for the boat, we will forever be waiting for the next release to hurry up and get here quickly.
And WDWFan8, again it is that bitter grudge thing you do. Why can't you just get over things and move on?? You again bring up something that happened so long ago and all it did was make people confused by your comments. Just move on!

That would be great, but I would even take it a step further and say that if I have an AP I should get my discount AND free shipping. Just because of the circumstances of the situation. Its just plain unfair. If I knew we werent going to get them I could have planned better, say ask a friend to pick them up for me in FL, since that would be cheaper than the obscene shipping charges.
BUT I know that they are almost equally as hard to get at WDW right now, so I shouldnt REALLY be so annoyed that we dont have them out here.
To the new statement that they will not be out until mid April... WOW! I'm officially skipping this series, maybe Ill trade for one, but now I want Park 4. The excitement is gone.
I am definitely disappointed. I ended up trading for a full set minus chaser instead of continuing to wait

I know what you mean. According to a CM friend. They have a few trays that are on hold for sale when they give them the date to be able to sell them. IDK if it's true, but they are honoring the online sales and having been using every bit of muppets available. That is also one reason why we haven't got them. He also gave me another tip... D-Street members have caught way too many people peeking into the Cutester series trying to identify and buy only specific figures, that is also another reason why they are delaying muppets and why we haven't seen cutesters in a while. I know they are and were popular, he said it's really the fact that people have maliciously vandalized vinylmation boxes to get what they want.

Ugh, the nerve of some people! They have to ruin it for everybody!! So does that mean that they are going to repackage the cutesters and release them later? I hope so!!! So are the muppets cards on the outside of the foil??

From what I heard, they are not going to stock up on cutesters unless they are re-packaged. They have the purchasing power to order what they need, but they said they don't put in for cutesters. If they did, they will only be sold at D-Street. They have actually been told to pull the display case 2 weeks ago this one member said! I said I would buy for 200! and he said that they can't sell it.
