So I've always had a place in my heart for the Magic. As a kid, who didn't love Shaq? I was also always a big Tracy McGrady fan, and it goes on now with Dwight Howard. So naturally over the years I've developed into a Magic fan.
They have made quite the run.. so far. If they were to win the title, their run would have to go down as one of the more impressive runs in NBA history. Winning 3 consecutive series vs. 60+ win teams, not having homecourt in any of those rounds.
Can they knock off Kobe and the Lakers? Definitely. Orlando has some great matchups that will be taken advantage of. Can LA stop Dwight Howard? Probably not.
My prediction: Magic in 7.

As a Cavs fan I was crushed that the Magic put us out but living near Orlando, (and working in a job that greatly benefits from the Magic winning) I suppose now I will support the Magic in the finals. Plus I am not a Kobe fan and LA is always there. It would be nice to see a team win it that never has too! Magic has a phenomenal team and I think they will be LA.

LA in a clean sweep or 6.
Orlando won't win in LA, they can win 1 or 2 at home. I just don't see them beating LA.
I mean, with Cleveland, all they basically had to deal with was LeBron. Now you got Kobe, Pau Gasol, Trevor Ariza, Andrew Bynum, in addition to people of the bench, Odom, Walton, Brown.
The Lakers are just too angry, too talented, and too hungry right now. I don't see Kobe letting this one get away.

I'm a Hornets fan myself, but since we stunk it up in the playoffs this year , I'll have to decide on who else to root for. This is a pretty good article about DL v. WDW:

My loyalty is shifting towards the Magic, just because I love WDW!

No possible way the Magic shoot that poorly again. Missed wide open shot after wide open shot, but Kobe's the best in the league and it might not have made a difference tonight. Still have the opportunity to get the split though and that's all the Magic need to do. But they can't play anywhere near that offensively again. We can beat LA if Kobe gets 40. The bigger problem is scoring 50 points in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters. Can't happen again.
Hopefully I'll be able to get some tickets tomorrow at 2 PM.

It's gonna be closer than that one. The Magic were not hitting the 3s and the Lakers were giving them wide open looks. If the Magic don't hit the 3 pointers then the Lakers can smother Dwight Howard-which is exactly what happened last night. They shot lights out from the 3 point line against the Cavs and if they get that going again with that arsenal of 3 point shooters, now with Jameer Nelson added, the Lakers will have their hands full.
My call was Lakers win the first 2, Magic come home and win all 3, go back to LA and Lakers win the last 2. Now if the Magic can't get their 3 point shooting going, it's gonna be a 4 game sweep.

Yeah, first off anyone who thinks Kobe didn't shoot the ball well.........I'm going to be nice and say no comment :)
And yes we missed WIDE OPEN SHOTS all night long. Yes the Lakers defense is better than the Cavs, but that was as bad as the team has shot all year long. That will not continue.

He's the reason the Magic lost the first game. Sole reason. They should've never let him back into the line-up. Huge mistake by Van Gundy. I think he should've just left Nelson out, unless it was for garbage duty clean up in the 4th. He screwed everything else by being in the game for 20 mins and he was the reason for Rafer Alston getting cold.
Lakers are going for the sweep or in 5. That look in Kobe's eyes last night was just frightening.

wow LAKERS going all the way and if you think the LAKERS would never lose 3 in a row away or at home.

well game 2 was certainly closer and a heck of a lot more exciting, but sorry Magic fans, I'm gonna have to say this one's over in 4. I don't think the Magic can play any better and the Lakers still find a way-that's the sign of a champion.
And it is so ridiculous how fairweather Orlando fans are. Good lord, I work at a sporting goods store and we were selling Magic stuff like crazy until that first loss. The bandwagon slammed on the brakes and everyone jumped right off. Sad.

If there's a Game 5, and the Lakers are up 3-1, me and my uncle are flying down on Sunday to watch the clincher!

ha ha, it is sooo over. Orlando fans jumped off the bandwagon back there sometime around game 2. So wish the Cavs would have been there!!!
