Maleficent and Diablo Custom Vinylmation Set

Well, Here it is hot out of my home factory. Maleficent 9" and Diablo 3" custom figures. I had a lot of fun researching and creating these I hope you enjoy them too. The set is currently up for auction on ebay. I'm working on more sets. Watch for them throughout 2010. Jason, Thanks for all your help!

Thanks for the nice compliments! It took alot of plotting and planning to adapt the Mickey shape to Maleficent. He's short and round and she is tall and thin. Was I crazy or what?

How did you paint these? They look INCREDIBLE!! I wanna buy a blank one a make a Peter Pan vinylmation but not sure what to use to paint on the figure.

There's no secret about the paints its more like alot of experimenting. All the paints I use are acrylics. Some brands go on smoother and cover better, others are too thin and just don't cover well at all. I stay away from these, you learn! When hand painting several coats are always need on every single color. It takes tme. Brushes are also very important a wide variety and better quality helps. I do add something to my paints, but I'm keeping that a secret. You just have to play with its sort of like being an inventor.

I love your style, the way you were able to translate her face onto the VM shape was just perfect! The detail on Diablo is great as well!

I actually saw this on Ebay earlier today and thought it was an official Disney VM. I was scratching my head thinking I must not have see all the pictures of the old 9". Can't wait to see more!

I have several ideas spinning around in my head for the next set. Most likely something from one of the Disney Features of the 70's. I like that period. Will post as soon as I make up my mind. Sometime in the next week. Check back. Again, thanks for your encouragement!

Hi everyone! Thanks again for all the nice comments and words of encouragement. It motivates me to produce my best designs for you all to enjoy on the Vinylnation site. Well it didn't sell on ebay, but I'm not too discouraged. There sure were alot of watches and interest in the listing. I think I'm on the right track.
