This may sound like a really really weird question but does anyone have any idea how much heat a vinyl can withstand.... I'm trying to decide if i wanted to add pieces to a vinyl and bake it if it could hold up to the heat... I'm assuming that it can withstand some heat but i have no clue how much heat something like that could withstand...
If anyone has any ideas or wild guesses I'd love to hear them... thanks!

Interesting question. I wouldn't think that they could stand up to too much heat since they are vinyl.

I always bake accessories seperate and then attatch them with a foam adhesive tape.

I've heard that the ears don't hold up very well in the oven. :(
You might be able to use a hair dryer. I use that sometimes. I havn't used it with a Vinyl yet though.

I would have to agree with everyone in that they wouldn't put up with much. I have seen vinyl melt down when it was just in the room with a small fire, not even close to the source. I would say they couldn't handle over 175-200 degrees without starting to droop, but there is nothing scientific in that, just a guess. Why don't you use a 2 part epoxy to put on your accessories? I would bet you could do that and then paint over everything and it would appear seamless.
You can also try air dry sculpty.

:agree: I used superglue to get the flag in my Moon Walk figure (I'm sure epoxy would be even better) and was able to paint over it with no problems. I only use the foam adhesive strips just in case for some reason I might want to remove the accessory in the future.
