I have a 14 month old son, and hes always eye balling my vinylmations,:look:I want to give him one of my doubles to play with. of course under close supervision. And i think it would make so cute pictures. I'm just wondering if theirs possibly any toxic material on the paint for him. I'm assuming theirs not. I'm sure there's probably no lead or anything of that sort, but as a parent you can never be to safe, so if any1 can help me out I would appreciate it. Thanks

TO be honest even if there is nothing toxic i doubt slobbering over it or whatever babies do wouldn't be good anyways, the paint is gonna come off somehow im sure...just be careful, but coming from me I wouldn't let my kid play with them.

I want to do this more for quick pictures,i obviously know that small toys are a chock hazard. We're gonna take him tomorrow to take pictures and we're gonna do one Disney theme picture. Im wondering more for piece of mind in case he decides to shove poor mickey in his mouth really quick.

There can't be any toxic paint or lead on them exceeding safety standards, since Disney sells them to children and there are no safety disclaimers on them. The lead particles on ONE die-cast Cars car (Sarge) exceeded safety standards a couple years ago, and so Disney recalled all of the hundreds of thousands of Cars for several weeks for further testing.

Disney is pretty careful about things like this, so I bet you have nothing to worry about as far as health hazards are concerned.

My wife owns a toy store and we dealt with the Thomas train debacle. My suggestion would be that it is OK for children to hold them and briefly putting it in their mouth should be OK for the child, but I wouldn't let them play with it on an ongoing basis if they are likely to put it in their mouths.
