Well, here is my first 3", not quite done yet, just a couple more detail corrections and then the clear coat. I am going to wait till I can get down to the city and get some of the matte brush on clear coat for this one though so I won't post finished pics till next week, but you get the idea.

I almost forgot...he is "Fireman Mickey, on the job!!
I will take him to work when he is done and get some pics of him on the truck with me, lol.

I really love it..I think you and everyone else that makes these are so talented ! congrats on your first one!! Love that its a fire Mickey also..my uncle was a NYC Firefighter !!

Really cute! Can't wait to see him finished! Is that the firmen's seal in his ear? Great use of that space! :clap:

Yes that is the maltese cross in his ear. I actually got to thinking about doing a set, the next one would be a police officer with the shield in his ear, a paramedic with the snake and staff in his ear, you could go on and on, each branch of the armed forces and use the ear for their particular brand.

Maltese Cross! :doh: Thanks, I knew there was a real name for it, but couldn't think of it off-hand. Sorry. :lol:

Well, I still have to clear coat, but I have made some changes. The one nice thing about posting the pics is it allows me to look at my progress closer and pick out things that I messed up on. Now all I have to do is get some matte clearcut and he is done!!

The black outlining on the mouth looks much better and the "ash" effect looks great! Looking forward to seeing more!!!

I actually have a mix of apple barrel, delta, and folk art.
