Artist Question

Noob apologies if it's been asked:

Does Disney use strictly Disney artists to do art for Vinylmation figures, or do they recruit artists from outside of Disney as well? Coming from collecting Dunny figures, where KidRobot utilizes designers, graphiti artists, illustrators, etc from throughout the art community, I'm curious to know if Disney takes a similar approach.

From the Home page, click on the "Information" tab, where you will find a list of Vinylmation artists.

Almost all of the VMs were designed by Disney employees from the Disney Design Group department.

The artist Shag was commissioned to design a set for the Haunted Mansion 40th Anniversary. And Noah did a special 5-foot tall and 9-inch one for the D23 event.

Thanks for the clarification. I had found that page, but wasn't sure (since Im not familiar with many of the artists there) if they were DDG employees or outside artists. It'd be interesting to see a series composed entirely of art by "outsiders", such as urban vinyl artists, graphic artists, illustrators, etc.
