Brave Set Series

I was scrolling through the events section of the vinylmation.com page today and noticed this in the WDW section:

D-Street at Downtown Disney® West Side in Florida Join us for the signing of Brave set and Phineas & Ferb Series (open edition) with Ron Cohee on Friday, May 25 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at D-Street at Downtown Disney® West Side.

Looks like we are getting a Brave set soon. Until we see any artwork, we get to speculate away at what the set will include. Any ideas?

I'm guessing a 2-pack with Merida and Young Macintosh. I'll probably be wrong, of course.


Erin shared that the Facebook store will also be a place for first purchase opportunities. This means you may find figures on the Facebook store before their release at locations in Disney Parks. One such set will be released on May 4 and features figures inspired by the upcoming Disney-Pixar film “Brave.”

So now we know this set will be releasing on May 4 on Facebook, and May 25 at D-Street.

I can see what you mean about them being creepy, but I actually kinda like them. I'm not sure why, but my initial reaction is they're ok. I actually like that they chose to have them looking different ways to tell them apart.

IMO the 3" is superb. Finally they have figured out how to properly translate Female Characters to viyls. :)

Well I was surprised it wasn't a twin pack, but gotta say the main figure is well done but I'm not sure about the jrs. This set was said to be released in the uk by a cast member in Birmingham. With it being set it scotland we should get it here. Think its going to push the price up ($44? Like the big wolf set)... obviously once I've seen the movie I might be more interested....they should have released the john carter ones around the theatre release.

I can tell you that they will be available at brick and mortar Disney stores. So I can only imagine that DS.com will have them as well.

Is it just that it's a PITA to have to go to yet another site and have to log in with yet another password? I had to have the Blue Ringer but wouldn't have bothered going throught facebook. Thankfully my lovely wife took care of that one.

Facebook is well known for selling all of your information to various companies. I don't feel comfortable letting a company that already has a huge amount of my personal info now also having my credit card on file.

Ah, I can definately see that as a big concern. I think that the Disney FaceBook page shunts you over to DisneyStore.com for your checkout though. I'll try to dig a little deeper but my initial thought is that FaceBook can't get access to your credit card information this way but it's definately worth making sure of this before risking exposure of sensitive personal/financial information.

Merida is so cute. I don't care for the juniors at all though. They just sort've feel like a gimmick to boost up the price for the one vinyl we actually want from this set. I'll just buy Merida separately. Looks like an awesome movie.

I completely agree with you BrittLee, it's a little worrisome so hopefully we'll get to see them on DS.com. I absolutely love this set! I'm so excited for the movie! I picked up my Merida doll the other day so this will be a must for my collection. I think they did a great job with the design for the set.

I just bought Merida and her brothers today and they could not be more adorable I love this set. Definitely worth the $40!

$40 is a bit steep in my book, then again if they are at D-Street I'll just use my pass to get a discount. I really wish they had done the 3" Merida with a 3" of the Bear (after all this movie was supposed to be called "The Bear and the Bow" at first, correct me if I'm wrong). The Juniors are just lazy they are basically the same design with eyes going different ways, LAME not worth the $40 price point!
