So I saw on the "What's to come" posting the new DCL Castaway Club Exclusive! What a SWEET vinyl!

I was wondering if anyone had information on this new figure. It looks pretty awesome!

I saw this one as well. I wonder what the edition number is going to be on this one. There are a lot of Castaway Club members (myself included) and I definitely want to be able to get my hands on this one, but with a projected spring release date and my next cruise not being until June this one has me worried.

I talked to Donald about this one (it's the only one I was worried about) at the artist signing and he said march-ish & that it would be available for a while. Which lead me to believe that there would be a bigger edition size (it's only a 3" so it makes sense)

Oh and that there'll be more in the future with similar tins but different inside designs.

And I just know when it's said march-ish that it'll be a week after my cruise again. And then I will be asking people I know who are going again in may to get me one. It is not below me to beg people for vinyl...:look:

From my understanding and Mouseman74 might be able to back me up on this but its actually going to be an online exclusive, not an actual "cruise" exclusive.

ya that was my understanding too. This is for Castaway Club members only. But I guess that means that after you go on your cruise you are eligible to get it. :)

No. No items for the Cruise Line are sold online. I think what you might have seen me post is for some of the members to look on the site to see what rewards they eligible for as a Castaway Club Member. Online they have a grid that tells what you get based on the level of the number of cruises you have sailed on. Each level gets some different perks. I know there was something about "specially designed" Castaway Club Merchandise (i.e. - vinylmation - and in the past pins, lanyards, mugs, shirts, etc.) but I couldn't remember if it was for all levels or not. :shrug:

Ok, I just looked up the "special merchandise offerings" and it is for Gold and Platinum Members only. We'll have to see if they will really only sell the vinyl to those level of members or not.

Same here. :cry: I dont like being a lowly silver.

They need to stop advertising so I can get on a cruise at CM price and get to gold!

Or I just make the people I know who are gold/platinum get it for me if it comes down to that :shrug:

I have so much love for your parks, vinyls, cruises, movies, and etc. The list can go on and on... but why do you continue to hurt me by taking (my money and...) away opportunities for me to get the vinyls that I truly want and love??? :cry:

Maybe we just have to sell a body part to be able to have all the money it will take to be able to buy all the vinyls coming out.

I asked that at the last Artist Party and Donald said at this time there were no plans for any special vinyls for those itineraries. He commented that he believed that the next cruise exclusive would be for the Disney Dream for it's Maiden Voyage.

I think they're making a *LOT* more of these than they are the Castaway Cay 9"/3" set. I bet this will be pretty affordable on ebay--probably $20-$30.

Very cool vinyl. I'm guessing (hoping) they make these in large enough quantities that they will not be crazy expensive after being in the market for a while.
